The game runs like a dream but looks Washed Out
There is something wrong with the black levels on this game.. there is a haze that makes dark parts look grey most of the time.

I can do perfect 120 fps with a GTX 1080 with everything maxed out except shadows on High.

But the brightness is not correct on this game. I hope the final version fix this.

What color space setting did you use?

I felt the same way. Way too light even when Leon was standing in a dark hallway. TBH REmake 1 kind of had the same issue too.

Yep, not feeling those washed out colors, especially during the dark hallways. No strong blacks, really hope this isn't he final product, kinda silly to get something like that wrong for a survival horror game like this.

Makes the game look ugly.
did you set max and min brightness corretly? what kind of panel is your monitor?

Everything is set correctly. The game is washed out. it always looked like this in screenshots and videos before the demo.

Are you all using HDR? The hdr is not very good. You should put it off and there is an option in the screen settings that says RGB. Change that to the other option. The game looks much better. You have to keep in mind as well that TAA makes the game blurry. So if you use it, you should reshade and apply adaptative sharpen or lumansharpen

color space setting worked for me, still doesn’t look like the trailer though.

Playing with HDR and it still looks pretty washed out, blacks look grey.

Switch from SRGB to Rec. 709 in the options, profit, unless your monitor doesn't support 0-255 range, then it's on your end.
GRIMREAPER ALVA Jan 12, 2019 @ 3:01am
Do 3 things. First. Turn off Film Noise in the options menu. Second. Adjust brightness level by following the instructions. Third. Change color space from sRGB rec. 709. The game may still looked a bit washed out but it should be better now. The trailers actually looked better in terms of light and dark color space.

I got better results with Rec 709. but the game still doesn't look like it should. I tried with a BENQ monitor at 120 hz and with a x900e Sony TV and same result.

The Sony TV of course has better color and all my games look incredible on it but this game looks washed out. With Rec 709 looks more dark but it's not how it should be. There is something wrong here and I hope they fix this.

Performance is great.. I have locked 120 fps with almost everything at max but I hope they can fix the washed out colors of the game.

I wish it ran like a dream.

I have a GTX 1080, i7 8600k and i get good performance but EVERY SECOND ON THE DOT it stutters and Leons hair physics reset and the image stutters. Cant find a solution yet :(

Good game though...

That hapenned to me too, you have to re-do the brightness configuration, if you do it correctly, taking your time to do it, the game will look spooky man.

It better not be like this in the final product, RE2 is running on the same engine as RE7 correct? RE7 did not have this issue, everything looked visually amazing day and night with lots of detail while having strong blacks. Didn't need to adjust my monitor, or anything.

I have an ASUS 4k monitor and all games look amazing at night with strong blacks, except RE2 which is really weird strange why the devs did this.

I'm sure they'll fix it for the final product, this is just a demo.

That is weird.. I have no stutter at all and the game barely uses 60% of my GPU at 120 fps.

Check your drivers and temps maybe.
