THE GAME STILL USES MY INTEGRATED GRAPHICS CARD, AND WONT USE MY NVIDIA ONE, HELP!
so, Ive been struggling to set the game to use my Nvidia graphics card, but it keeps using the INTEL one, ive set it to High blablabla Nvidia proccessor, it still show only 0.11 GB on the Graphics setting of the game, help!

My screen took a little while for some reason when the game first starts up, it seems to always do this and I do believe that is a bug.

However, they might have done this to target a specific audience, common sense would be that we all use a PC and that the GPU should be used and not the integrated graphics card.
Not everyone uses the Steam Survey and so not everyone posts there results.
So the game dev's logic of.. "a majority uses this or that" can absolutely be incorrect.
They don't want to bother asking gamers, so they go by results that can be half-correct based upon those who do or do not submit their PC stats results.

Basically a lot of game devs are very ignorant these days.
Be sure when in the game, to enable the ability to send them your PC stats so that they can improve upon the game with upcoming patches, hopefully before the full games release, but it could be after.

When submitting your PC results using the in-game option to do so, set your settings to max so that they won't focus on bs low settings and will tweak / optimize and bug fix for higher VRAM usage, and higher graphical settings by the time the full game comes out, hopefully a demo update before then but I doubt it, I don't think they plan to have this demo around, they might have it around after January 29th 2019, but it said that the demo was available until then. Otherwise they will consider most using default settings of 1 GB of video memory with just.. lame DirectX 11 instead of DX12 that you should be using.

There could even be other demos coming since this demo has a strange name.
It's a little odd that they only give you 30 minutes instead of just cutting you off at a specific point, and not even allowing you to go back through the demo more than once, a 30 minute demo and then you can't re-play it?! That's bs. Unless.. they plan on other demos.

Just make sure to set DX12 "if your graphics card can use it" and then set the Video Memory usage high, and all settings to max. Try using the 100% and 200% texture quality, send them the info each time you change it so that they get an idea overall of what everyone uses and wants to see them optimize around, so we don't get bs low-settings usage tweaks (only). Like with other games. That's not necessary, people can save up for PC hardware and not buy lots of games. It's time to smart spend.

Also remember to enable submitting your PC stats and game settings using that in-game option, after you update your graphics drivers as well and other drivers / settings.
I would disable the setting every time you change in-game graphics settings, and new drivers, then re-enable the in-game option to submit your PC stats and game settings again, this forces it to make your modem blink to see activity being sent, forces it to be sent, which is a good thing for the game devs to know.
But a game this popular and well known from when I was 15 over 22 years ago, should be considered made at its best with modern gameplay and graphics, in the way we want it to be respectfully for such an amazing title as it once was, I'm so tired of Left 4 Dead style zombie games that rambo everything and no scare / horror feeling to the zombies that once moved slower, that's how modern zombie games have become and RE2 was my first zombie game and Resident Evil game, that licker scene was the first time the licker was seen! And it was terrifying to notice going by the window! Weird how they changed the position of the window and that scene to the right and not the left like the original game right? Check youtube on that scene from the Playstation 1, old graphics but... at that time, the graphics were amazing for a zombie game. Too bad they couldn't add the blonde girl that was going to be for Resident Evil 2 before Claire Redfield, it was a beta and you can see it on youtube.

Btw anyone else notice after you finish the demo, they show a video of that old block that you can run around as, but instead of unlocking it at the end of the game or whatever from the original, they are going to make you buy it? Don't buy it! Force the game devs to realize it needs to be a part of the game! Don't turn it into a micro-transaction.

It's very odd how there's only 30 minutes of gameplay which you can't play again for another 30 minutes, or even have just a demo that has a blocked door at some point so that you can't progress further in the demo without the full game, instead they give you 30 minutes and no option to play it again for another 30 minutes? On top of that, they did mention that the demo would only be available until I think it was.. January 29th?
And because of this, be sure to let others know about the demo before they can't try it out.
It's very strange that the demo isn't on the full game's store page in Steam, but maybe it will be later, or maybe another demo will come, but be sure to let others know about the demo so they can try it free.

Also you guys should be playing this on a desktop PC, save up and buy your PC hardware from the newegg website. The AMD CPUs for Ryzen 2700X and motherboards are easily obtainable, even 16 GB of RAM, SSDs of 250 GB and so on, even NVMe SSDs, and towers around $80 US dollars. Add on top of that, the new Ryzen 3000 series CPU's are coming out this year, so the Ryzen 2700X and 2000 series might drop in price. And so more will be using it for this game, keep that in mind and the game devs should be focusing there.

On top of that, not enough AMD CPU users choose to do the Steam Survey so there is another reason why it shows so many intel CPUs. Can't rely on that data of statistics when not everyone takes the survey, or updates it later on as soon as they get new PC hardware. That Steam survey could be based on a minority of AMD Desktop PC CPU users and not majority of them. And so game devs should not be going off those stats and should work on optimizing their games for both CPUs from AMD and Intel, same with GPUs from AMD, Nvidia and now Intel soon to have their own graphics card.
There needs to be a balance, and game devs tend to lean one way over the other in games like Doom 2016 with Vulkan (an amazing low-level render-API) but it targets specific graphics cards and CPUs. Same with many other games. Needs to be a balance of GPU and CPU Desktop PC hardware. Think about it, we allowed it to be biased though, or at least those that didn't care allowed it. Specificly (casual game players) and (gamers) that followed like sheep, not talking about the true gamers that actually care how their games are played. Don't pre-order, don't buy extra items from the game store, learn a lesson about where the game industry is going. No one should be organized as first and second class as if they have more rights just because they pre-order, don't allow such bs.
Notice also they have a deluxe edition right beside the standard edition for this game already? Don't allow that bs to happen, everything should be in one game, just like it was in classical gaming on the game consoles for Resident Evil 2, don't allow this micro-transaction bs that they said might come to the game, it might not, and I would be very glad if it doesn't. But an amazing game used to be $50 - $60 US dollars in the 90s and early 2000s, but this deluxe version for $80 dollars is bs. There's no difference between extreme then, and extreme now for game development. Don't make excuses.
And the game devs / corporations play off your excuses.

Moving on.. ah yes.. nostalgia of the original Resident Evil 2 classic game on Playstation 1, those memories!

Btw do they plan to make it where you feel that same scary / horror feeling when you see the first licker, for the first time going by that window in Resident Evil 2 classic, but for RE2: Remake? Stop and think about that. I sure hope it turns out to be that way.
Because the first time anyone has seen that, and I did play the game with friends, we all jumped to that scene and... there was a big difference between holding the Playstation 1 controller, and watching someone play, we all had the lights off during that moment and throughout, with popcorn and snacks, 22 years ago. And it was terrifying holding the controller and feeling like you were actually in it. And if you didn't feel that, there was something wrong with you! Though not holding the controller didn't feel that way at all but was still a bit scary and entertaining every time, to watch friends play it.

And so that was the very first Resident Evil that I had every played, in my teen years, so they better not mess this up! I then played Resident Evil 1 on the Playstation 1 later on, and then went all the way through RE 1 on the Gamecube using the RE4 engine, never did like RE4, RE5 and RE6, probably because it felt too much like something else, well.. it actually was.. since it was a parasite and not a virus really.... they just weren't that scary and didn't feel like a "walking dead" zombie, they felt like they were just alive but with a parasite so it wasn't scary at all during those games, I felt they took the wrong approach and RE4 was repetitive, the village felt that way and then not only did it last too long there, but felt empty and pointless to return to the village when you view the map, I would like to value areas as important like they did in Resident Evil 1 and 2, not run and gun rambo style bs, also didn't like beyond the village in RE4 either, and I don't like the mouth on the zombies in RE4, RE5 and RE6 either, same with the Resident Evil movies, didn't like that about them, those zombies were adapted from RE4 - RE6 the games... the mold characters in RE7 seemed ok but I still wouldn't want to replace the T-Virus for the Resident Evil games.. no way! Bring back the scary and terror feeling? I'm looking forward to this RE2: Remake because of how it was, so I hope they don't mess it up!

Close steam. Right mouse click on steam shortcut - > run with Nvidia High Performance Card.

Try to force it inside the Nvidia Control Panel. If doesn't work, temporary disable your intel gpu inside the Windows Device Control. Are you using a laptop or a desktop. If you are uaing a desktop, you can disable the intel using the Bios.

Nono. When you disable your integrated card, Nvidia automatically run the driver. I have the save issues when i use my asus laptop.

This seems 2 be a bug.
I also play the game with laptop (Optimus-tech, hence Intel & Nvidia card) & it shows me 0.13 GB VRAM in options.
But when I start the mission & monitor VRAM-usage with MSI Afterburner, it shows that the game only uses the Nvidia-card.

When I disable my integrated card, the laptop acts like there is no nvidia card. Believe it or not.

So does it perform as it should? It's just the menu setting that's wrong?

Correct.
Just test it with MSI Afterburner as monitor tool.

Just tried it and it was clearly using the nvidia card (I used the PredatorSense app, but it was obvious given the performance and the heat generated/fans). Strange bug.
