Sometimes you can't get the kill. Fine. But hopefully you have made them blink. That's the point. So for the next few mins (pretty long time in the game), you have a chance to get pressure on them again where they don't have it.
Tactics.
There are LOADS of elements you can say are taken from other games. Who gives a **** if it's in another game? So what?
Does it add extra capability and tactics...yes. Do people generally like it...yes.
Everyone has them. It's useful to all, for various situations.
If ADC's don't have them but everyone else does? That's 4 people that can potentially blink into an ADC for a kill, or 4 targets the ADC can't hit as they have a blink to use and the ADC doesn't.
It's fair having a blink with a long delay, as that can sometimes be useful for a partial 'gank' threat from the jungle (for example) just to force the blink. That then leads the player to either play safer (and the lane can keep pushing and/or rotate easier) or get themselves in a situation that they can now not blink out of.
Opinions differ on this, but the majority seem to agree it works.
What's funny is that Phase now has a lot more blink capability (linked to her blind skill) and that's winding people up.
