Leaving negative feedback get you banned from their discord and redit.
Omeda community managers have really screwed up this game. I've left feedback describing how bad matchmaking is and I've been banned from both.

Yes, if the maps are different then how do you balance heroes?

Time to rotate, jungle size, different objectives and different objective locations will make different heroes and items strong. Do they have two different versions of every hero and item? Do they balance each hero around their better map and make them unplayable in the other?

Yes, this is the fundamental issue with SeaofBiscuits' argument for a new map. How on Earth do you maintain hero and item balance for both maps while also making a completely new map that is interesting, innovative and isn't just a carbon copy of the original formula for the first map. I'm sure it can be done... but he's making it out like it's so easy, "just make a new map lazy devs!!!" is essentially all the "feedback" he has offer.

And he clearly stated in one of his previous comments that he isn't referring to any cosmetic changes like the winter theme or whatever else. He wants an entirely new map. Which is a huge ask, and again when you consider game balance... I just don't know how the hell this would even work. Lastly, to repeat myself yet again, you will only split the player base between both maps, which is an awful idea especially for a game that is this small. And I seriously doubt introducing an entirely new map for the default game mode would bring in new players. So the already small existing player base will be split.

It's just a bad idea... anyone who knows anything about mobas knows this is a terrible idea, and anyone who has played mobas for a long time is also content with playing on the same map for years. Gradual iterations and some bigger changes to the existing map is the best thing to do for a moba. Most people don't like change, the failure of OG Paragon is a great example of the effect that drastic changes can cause, chasing competitors instead of innovating and setting trends is what ultimately led to Paragon's slow and painful death. Well that in combination with the rise of Fortnite, if it weren't for that stupid game we would probably still have our beloved Paragon, though it would only be a shell of its former self.

This is why I can't wait for Project Legacy... to hell with all these remakes.. I just want old Paragon back.
Do it for a living so I know they can, they are just attempting to milk the skins which like I said are sucky for the most part.
So quit defending laziness. Working for no money has got to suck.

Look it up. It's the old version of Paragon. Previous to the monolith update.

I'm not defending Omeda, your request for an entirely new map for a moba of all games... is completely unreasonable. Changes and or small iterations on the existing map is how every single moba has done it in the past, and it should remain that way for several different reasons, two of which I have already mentioned in previous comments.

I agree that Omeda are milking their fan base with their predatory pricing model on everything in the shop. But at the same time, the OG Paragon also had ridiculous prices on everything... and frankly the same can be said for just about every game these days. It's just an unfortunate reality we live in. The only way to combat it for everyone to stop playing the game. But I doubt that will happen.

Your making this out to be way harder then it is. The fact of the matter is they can do it. the question is will they. more then likely not.

I'm sure they could do it. But they won't, again for a multitude of reasons. Why can't you seem to understand that, it's not because "they're lazy." It's because they haven't got a single good reason to make a new map, and a ton of reasons why it's a :shit:can idea.

It's a great idea its just they will get no monetary benefit because they are a small studio which probably forces them to do dd jobs. Legislation I was reading is being written up for this and Am interested how it will affect the industry.

Same here, bro. That's why I don't play this paragon clone anymore. Just think, the developers bought 1 minute at a presentation for 300 thousand bucks, if not more, instead of spending that money on expanding the quality of their game. And there are many such problems and inconsistencies.

This is going to sound funny, but I play Smite on my ps4 and have more fun....

This is not an advertisement or a call for you to play Smite.:partymask:

I want to but they just pulled a blizzard activision move and made smite 2 40 bucks. Guaranteed they will also have skins you have to pay for and can't earn and the skins from the previous ones cant be used. I played that game already not willing to do it again.

Gamers need to be smarter about how they purchase content.

LoL used to have many maps that all played different. They cut it down to just ARAM and core maps not because balancing was hard, but because the new owners of Riot only care about competitive play and killed the other regularly used maps.

Smite has multiple map options as well.

I fail to see the logic here: having map variety is a GOOD thing, and if the heroes were already balanced from the start, then map balance is more about objectives and items unique to the map...if the map itself doesn't have many or any of those but is different itself, then it's even easier to adjust.

The key is that normal competitive play will only be on the one map, so hero balance, item balance, and map changes are all focused on the core map. Then the other maps just get to be fun changes of pace.

I think you completely missed SeaOfBiscuits' original complaint. He was asking for more maps for the default 5v5 game mode. Like the default... 3 lanes, jungle, towers etc., which to my knowledge no other moba has done... other than HoTS which Aurum pointed out. What you're talking about is additional game modes... which isn't at all what we were arguing about. SMITE only has one map for the default game mode, so does Dota 2 and League. Idc about some reskin either, like some winter themed map... those don't count, and Biscuit man said those don't count either.

Having additional maps for the default game mode is a bad idea... it will split the player base between people wanting to play different maps. Unless you just make it random every time you queue for a game, which is also a terrible idea. Then you would have to make a map that is unique and isn't just a carbon copy of the original map... ensure the map design is fair, like buff placements, pathing and whatnot. Some heroes will perform better on some maps and worse on others... how do you balance for this... making a perfectly balanced game is near impossible and would be boring as f anyway.

More game modes is fine, this would split the player base though. I wouldn't mind seeing a 3v3 or duel mode. But more maps for the default 5v5 game mode? No.

It can be done. this is established. Will it? Not with peeps like you complaining. If a single new map ruins this game, it wasn't a very good game lol though I highly doubt it would. It's just refreshing.
If u cant carry just say so iits ok to be bad
