Gideon Ult is still insanely brain off broken scaling wise. His entire kit is fine except the ult. It does huge damage, huge CC, and large AOE. It should only do 2 of those 3. Right now it kills you far faster then it should. Still.
Khaimera STILL has a 70% pick rate and the second highest win rate. Lowering his Q scaling by 5% did litterally nothing and is a spit in the face. The fact the character has a point and click leap and essentially ZERO skill shots/expression is wild when hes such a strong pick.
Grux losing 10 base damage on one of his abilities while in the right direction makes zero difference to his performance. His kit is still insanely overloaded with CC and base damage/stats.
Narbash. AoE Healing. With constant uptime. Although I factor part of his winrate to the fact recommended/auto builds litterally never suggest antiheal and the average player doesnt build items outside of recommended. Which to the devs credit they did an amazing job with the reccommended builds.
Sparrow being the really the only carry with an actual attack stim makes little sense when most carries lack mobility. Its no coincidence that the only 2 carries with more then a 50% win rate have actual auto attack stims. The other being Drongo.
I dont get what you mean by a CC meta other then Grux existing in his balance state and Gideon's broken ult. I agree on the no skill expression part for the best characters at the moment. Grux can only be kited to eventual boredom because of his kit bloat. Khaimera takes zero thought as you face roll your keyboard. Gideon presses his ult button and wins a teamfight because 3 ticks of his ult does 70% of a squishies HP.
Everyone having Blink doesn't affect balance, but it does affect strategy.
If no players had Blink, then players without any escape options would be SLAMMED regularly by jungle ganks, etc., as they jungle would know if they get close, it's a kill on a player in a good position to attack. Boom - over.
Blink allows everyone to have a chance at escape...but only sometimes, as 5 minutes is a long time to play after using it, to be able to avoid another 'bad' situation.
This is why jungles should feint-gank sometimes, just to force a blink and then go back to farming. It significantly reduces the other players tactics for 5 minutes, which may be enough to allow the lane player to perhaps get the edge on the player that used their Blink (as they are now being slightly more defensive/careful).
Games like these NEED to have easy to use Champs. It's already incredibly hard to be a new player in MOBA's. Removing flash and all point and click abilities would cause the game to be impossible to play for 85% of the gaming community.
But at least then people could actually ATTEMPT to counterplay him.
Champs like Garen or Warwick in LoL exist for good reasons. Same goes for Mercy and Lifeweaver in Overwatch.
WW actually has more skill expression then Khaimera. Timing bite to follow dashes/flashes, ulting properly with his passive and aiming said ult, biting through people and then poping the fear. Hes simple sure but you have to actually play the game.
Khaimera's only expression is his cleanse. Which is fun and rewarding but thats it. You just build whatever and roll.
I also haven't played league much since WW got reworked, pre-work WW was stupid simple.
Here you have Khaimera and Grux winning every game by simplly having insanely bloated base numbers, Narbash for existing near his team, or Gideon for getting outplayed all game but to simply get 1 decent ult late game.
