Overprime has more players despite good reviews?

Is it because overprime is free? Is this game really better than overprime? I enjoyed playing overprime but if this is better I might buy and switch over. What are your thoughts?

I played both and originally was going to stick to Overprime but the higher quality of Predecessor won me over as of now OP just feels to janky and low quality it definitely has the quantity but Pred can add that stuff over time.

OP is free, that's the difference, but in pred, you have all heroes unlocked plus the next 5 they come out with. Also OP is a battle arena, this is a true MOBA

OP is a janky unbalanced hero brawler. No farming, just fighting. Netmarble is just pissing on Paragon's grave with the ridiculous prices for heroes and skins, $30 skins, pay $100 if you decide you want all the heroes now, if you don't want to pay for that bs, then grind and grind.

Predecessor is alright, it has its issues, but it's way better than the heap of crap OP is. And again $10 for 20 heroes now, and 5 more throughout early access, seems like a good deal to me. If you want a fast paced janky hero brawler then take yourself over to OP, if you want more of an actual moba experience, that actually resembles Paragon, then play Predecessor.

30k today =/= 30k tomorrow, its already down 12k (edit now 20k down :D) players from peak

Its just that its f2p, but the game is an insult to original paragon and its def not a moba, its a different version of apex

this game is def better

even then, a game with 30k doesnt survive anyway, people are already leaving it
they will eventually both die, depending on decisions they take

For the reviews i believe there's been people "review bombing" as well as the implement of the new korean people having to be tracked by their government, people have been reading into some conspiracy about it.

They are two different types of games for two different types of Paragon players. Play the one with the style you like.

Overprime is more fast paced, "hero brawler". There's still roles and lanes and the objective still means something besides what these dudes say. It's a little more streamlined. Yeah you can portal across the map but there's a cool down. Still has an item shop. Heroes mostly all have escape/dodge abilities so it's not instant death. Just try it and don't listen to these dudes.

Pred is a slower pace, traditional MOBA. More LOL or DOTA than paragon honestly. Being out of position is almost instant death, you'll never win 2v1s, you'll never survive a gank. You must buy wards by the boat load and spend time setting them up everywhere. Numbers matter more than abilities. Meticulous detail on items and builds. Careful planning.

Two different games for the type of playstyle you want.

Playing both and came to the conclusion that pred is better. op isnt even moba just another bralwer. people dont care about wave management and just wanna TDM all game. Also OP games lasted 45 mins because who knows why, they just kept fighting and no objectives from either side. OP is on unreal 4 while Pred is on unreal 5, enough said.

OP is a MOBA it's faster paced and has a higher emphasis on Team deathmatch than Predecessor, but it is still a MOBA still though I've come to prefer Predecessor for it's higher quality and I was originally going to play OP.

Pred shot itself with the 10$ price tag. RIP. I'm not an OP fanboy either. I wanted to play Pred, but I'm NOT gonna support a buy in for a F2P game. Wishing for the best for Pred's developers and team.

True, OP peaked at around 36k people, now its at 16k, you cant believe they wont still quit
They played a f2p game, they tried it, they didnt like it, they quit, its very simple
All the hate towards Pred is just for those 10 euros, nothing else, most of them didnt even give it a try, they could refund anyway

OP is a fake MOBA. Idk why some vouche for it as a moba but it just is a hollow shell. It has no lane phase.. its TDM or arena fight but not a MOBA. I played Predescessor and besides missing the later cast of heroes from Paragon it feels almost exactly like it or better imo. OP looks fun, if what you want to do is fight endlessly, but Predescessor has actual strategy etc. Also Pred looks better and I have experienced zero bugs so far after 20+ hours. $10 is well worth it for almost guaranteed increase quality as it goes on.
OP shops are typical F2P scam and grind simulator, so what else does it offer lol

ALSO OP JUST dropped so of course it has more players atm. That will drop. Its only week one, so anyone who went from Pred to OP will come back. The more people vouch for Pred the more that will leave OP is my belief. Not knocking OP cuz if its fun its fun, but if you are COMPARING the two, Pred is head and shoulders above
