Stupid motion controls

The supid motion where you have to swing the gamepad upwards doesn't work. I have wasted over an hour trying to fix this BS. Of course you can't remap that action to anything else.

Oh so it's a weird movement where you have to tilt the gamepad forward 45 degrees and then tilt it back 90 degrees. Works about 30% of the time even if I know what to do. But then there's another QTE event where you have to shake up and down and I lose those every time.

are you aware that you can just pull the stick in that direction instead? probably it depends on the type of controller being used.

idk if I'm just doing something wrong, or maybe my specific controller is broken in that regard (dualshock 4 - it should work), or maybe I'm failing cause the specific events are designed to fail. but I can't for the love of God almighty, get past the "now grab your controller and shake it uncontrollably" QTE. they got rid of them in the PC port of Detroit, why not get rid of them here too?

it is because you have motion enabled in steam controller layout. you can remap shaking to right stick (clockwise movement or up-down) in steam settings or for quick fix just use generic controller without motion and it will fall back to right stick.

I just checked my setting and with controller that is viewed as ps3 by steam I have layout from official and it says it is created for x360. no wonder I have no motion :)
see if you can do something with current layout.

I ran in to this issue and found out that for this control I have to use the mouse instead sinse nothing I do works with the controller. Hold down both left and right click at the same time while moving it uppwards.

Absolutely stupid controls. Even worse on steam deck, when you are unable to see what's going on while you swinging the deck around. And of course it's not working from the box, but needs you to load the community layout.
