Duo mode achievement

"Together Till the End" Is the only achievement I miss. When I first played the game last year, I tried to do it with two controllers, but didn't pop. I asked their customer service, which told me I should have used keyboard & mouse for a player and controller for the other. Which, why? And how would someone even know about it?

Anyway, I'm going to try again that way, but I read a guide here (by RAGNOS1997) that states "Make sure to set the difficulty level for both players to 'I play video games often' and assign the keyboard and mouse to Jodie, while assigning the controller to Aiden."
Is that confirmed? Doing it with Jodie/controller and Aiden/k&m doesn't work?

I did it with Jodie (Controller) and Aiden (KBM) and it worked without any issues.

Still bitter that they punish players for having two controllers.
