I solved it by uninstalling the game.
If you are using one, I can only suggest you may be reacting too fast. There's a timing window, too soon or too late and you fail.
You can also, in several tries, write the list of keys on a piece of paper as you go along so that your companion can read them directly from the paper (Y)
it was hard and the mouse movement is kinda bad but it did take like 3 hours for me to beat it too
I tried the demo for the first time last night and had to walk away. To put something like that in the game so early was brave of them, maybe lost some sales because of it. For me it was the timing throwing me off, but I finally got it.
I'm still 50/50 about the controls. I have to admit though, after finishing the demo I wanted to play more. The story seems like it's going to be so good.
I get it should be in the beginning of the game. Since it was training how to fight with the controls. But to have people get stuck at that part so early on.
Once you know the moves, it really isn't a long fight sequence. Still was a pain to get caught by one hit and having to do it over and over and over.
