Stuck on taming horse

I am at Navajo trying to tame the horse but every time i come near it, i end up on the ground. Can't use Aiden either. What am i supposed to do?

Walk slowly towards it and stop occasionally.

Just tap your "go forward button" (W on keyboard) and then stop. Tap, stop, tap, stop, until you get a cutscene. Don't hold, only little small taps. I know that I'm late but I hope it helps somebody
