PC control problems

I literally can't get past the first time using the controls on PC. I can't get Aiden to knock the blocks onto the floor. It tells me to hold and drag the mouse and IT NEVER WORKS. Then it keeps telling me to "let go of hold" AND NOTHING EVER HAPPENS. I am beyond frustrated. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I don't understand what it wants me to do. I feel like I'm following the prompts exactly and nothing ever happens and Jodie just keeps whining at me to "please!"

Seriously me TOO! I can't find any help online when it comes to the controls on PC. I get to the point where shes in the bathroom writing and it says HOLD and then shows the up symbol with a small L in the corner so I hold L doesnt work I holdthe up key Doesnt work I try them BOTH doesnt work. Im so confused. Then I changed the secondary controls to primary and it changed to hold 0 and same thing happened. It looks like such a good game I am so frustrated that Im not able to play it

That was for the left shift key, but tbh control guild for Keyboard and mouse are awful and the mouse controls are just impossible for some people (like my self)

Solution for me
is to lower windows mouse 1/3 or more for less sensativity and place the mouse sensativity on 50 ingame controls.
Use the numbers 1,2,3,4 not the numlock.
In the embassy toilet, It shows yu a number when clicking on shift.
Use Left shift for action to write etc
to open door is a bit hit and miss hold down the left mouse and drag to the left or right forward she will then open the door to the toilet for example.
Where you see 1 flashing means continue to tap 1 she will get off the toilet if thats where you.

Hello! I am having the same problem as Iiraka, and I have no idea how to continue. There doesn't seem to be any help about this anywhere, and I bet we are not the only people to have problems with it. Damn!

I found a solution that works for me ... increase the mouse sensitivity in game to max.

I had the same error, you have indeed to push left shift, when an number gets up you have to push simultane that number and HOLD IT until the number goes white, then you have to push left shift again on command and then hold another number, and again untill it stops. A woman comes in (cutscene) and after that you have to tap 1 to get up, and swipe the mouse to open the door. Go to the ballroom, dont mind your nose bleeding (bit strange but how it is) and go to you partner who sits in the ballroom... Good luck, pc controls suck total but it is a good story.

I'm going for it, want to know the rest of the story.

Even in the demo I wasn't sure what I was totally doing the first time using the shift key. I played the demo twice and some things seem to get a little easier.

So hopefully I get it the more I play.

Guessing the full version is a little different than the demo, because I don't remember seeing anything telling me how the shift key works. Unless I clicked passed it or something.

In the demo I was wondering how I got out of the handcuffs. Seems in the full version that part and fighting comes later I guess.

When I played the full game, I'll hold down the RL or rb and instead of registering, it comes back as wrong button and goes red.This happens a lot like this is a horrible port, because on playstation 3 the game was awesome, but now it almost unplayable, constantly switching to my keyboard to play the game
