I realy dont have a clue and hope maybe someone can clear this up?
Edit: The Steam version will release with some content that's not presently in the bundle!
So the humble code isn't even the real game?
It is the real game from start to finish. We are launching to Steam with 1.1
it's not supposed to end there, there's a bug that's causing the end of a previous demo to trigger, the dev is working on it right now, since humble bundle also needs to update it it's probably gonna take a couple of days
Okay, thanks for letting me know.
If it is possible, could you please consider offering Steam keys to existing Humble Monthly Bundle August 2019 owners?
Previous Originals such as July 2019th "Kind Words" and April 2019's "A Short Hike" plan to release on Steam with additional content , but intend to grant Humble Monthly owners Steam keys to this new version. In fact "A Short Hike" recently made its full Steam release and provided Humble Monthly owners with Steam keys via an updated entry on the key-claim page for the month.
Should this be possible, it will likely reflect well your studio within the community and spike interest in the game around the Steam release; Humble Monthly owners will see a "new" key when they revisit their claim page and be willing to play/try again, coming to see the additional improvements of 1.1 with renewed interest.
This is twice as important given the glitch described as above, as some Humble Monthly titles are very short, limited experiences (some mentioned specifically as "Sneak Peeks / Demos" and others not), so they may feel that the demo-length version was intentional and stop playing after finishing it. Seeing that the "full" version is available, especially with a Steam release and a content patch, would be perceived as a great value addition to find it included.
Congratulations on your Humble Original inclusion and best of luck for the remaining development prior to Steam launch!
P.S. - I am unsure the engine/tools used to develop DGU, but have you considered releasing a Linux (and Mac, for that matter) build?
Hey, I'm going to take your advice into consideration and see what we can do- unfortunately we are basically a 2 person team, and while the game is complete and finished (we tested the development build many times including 2 group testing sessions) something small snuck through yet sufficient enough to make it a blocker.
Right now it's obvious a lot of people are uncertain whether this is a demo, or think it is, but i'm glad at least the interest is there, I will almost certainly give Steam Keys to existing members, likely because it's probably in my best interest to hopefully reap those sweet reviews :P
glad you love the game, at this point I've just decided to migrate folks to the Steam version on the 16th in order to prevent people from having to replay a bunch, if that changes I'll let you all know ^_^
Thanks for getting back to me quite fast! I can't wait to experience this game when it comes out. And I also have to say that I love the battle system. It's original and makes the game even more enjoyable!
