Knife to a Gun Fight

I defeated both Gunner & Shiso with Ragnarok & Magic Claw respectively. Those are both Slashfik but I never received the Knife to a Gun Fight achievement or do they need to be killed & not spared by a Slashfik?

I come from an era where kill = defeat so that's why I'm asking.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you have to actually execute them with it. Special mention to Kunai builds because they tend to have artifacts that may prevent the achievement by executing the boss before the Kunai actually reaches them.

I managed to get it with the default Slashfik Saffron has. Got the over 9999 shield achievement in the same run too thanks to having the cactus enemy & the trinity thing that shoots every third step. Got the generate shield card as one of my first two so I just stood there until it filled up. XD

There's an even funnier way to get the latter achievement, but it relies on the fact that they didn't explain its requirements very well. You see, it doesn't actually have to be YOU with the 9999 shield, so you can just go Build Hazel and whack one of the random rock spawns with your wrench until it hits the needed amount. It took a bit longer for me because the one enemy was shooting the rock in question trying to get to me, but not nearly fast enough to outpace my wrench.

You can also use Reva and just write a macro that goes A -> D and loops with an enemy that can´t hit you (trinity cannon) and just iddle for a while.
