Seeded runs have random loot?
Messing with seeded runs and I'm noticing they're diverging very quickly.

First battle is the same. Sometimes same rewards offered. Then no matter what I do, same route, different route, it's all different. The only thing that's the same is the stage types and encounters.

Sometimes the rarity of items is the same, but I've not ever been offered the exact same set of items apart from the first battle.

Is this normal? I don't normally play with seeds in games but I'd have assumed it meant that the random parts were defined. Like a seeded run in Slay the Spire would offer the same cards/relics at a certain stage. Or BoI and the items in the same place.

We'd have to get someone to investigate it more; seeds can vary based on the game.

For an example of another game, I know in Hades, even with the same seed, the game is randomized based on previous actions and has multiple different rewards randomly even on the same seed (although in that game, you can't actually input a seed; you just know it's the same seed because that game will freeze the seed until you actually complete a run in complete death or victory).

So it's very possible there's some various factors into how the game reads the seeds such as different actions or pathing.

It's strange. Sometimes I get the same stock of rewards on the first battle, sometimes it's different.

32997125 was at first Thunder first battle, and I could get Double Edge before shop as Gunner|Manafire.
Now I usually get Minefield / Devour / Tremor from the first battle - flawless or not. Double Edge only appeared once again after about 10 runs.

The seed in this game is kinda useless. Even with seed, loots are random to most of the time. Rescue mission is also random on hostage scenario.

Picking focus also add another layer of randomness.

I believe the same source of randomness is used to randomize enemies as is to randomize loot - so seeds will diverge unless you kill enemies at exactly the same time.

It does kind of negate the whole point of seeded runs in a game like this, tbh.
