Plagiarism accusations
I vaguely remember it being accused (with examples of "stolen" art). How did that story end? Anyone remembers?

I too remember hearing something about that years back. I'm curious to know.

Just heard of this game today, looked at the trailer and thought, "What, when did Amanita Design work on this?" I think taking a little inspiration from another is alright but damn, the art seems way too heavily borrowed. Can't find any result of these accusations though, just the examples of the "stolen" imagery and the piecing of them together into the game art. Don't think anyone was motivated to take action from the content posted about it all.

So how did it all end?

Couldn't this be a reference or easter egg? I mean, the whole game is new but his mother is stolen? When people stole something from a game, usually is 90% of it. Maybe this website is too far gone to create drama or something, but it doesn't seem to be a steal, more like a reference or easter egg about the painting.

Agree at this point.
