Where do I get coal?
I tried to buy at the store, but nowhere did I have to buy.
Can I burn one of those wooden boxes to get coal or is it mined in the hole?

The shop can be scrolled through. Mouse wheel or click and drag to do so.

But yes, coal from the mines works in the furnace as well. I don't think you can put that kind of coal in the coke oven though, only the boxes of coal fit in that as far as I know.

Thanks! I found in the shop now. Is the wooden box.

I have another question.

I have got some coal ores when minning.
I tried smelt to create coal ingot, but when i tried to put on the melting pot the ores just disappears. Another ores works. iron ore, copper ore.. putting 3 and awaiting 2 minutes, but coal ores doesn't work.

I have to put it on furnace near to anvil where we use to smelting ingots or put on the melting pot near to mine entrance?

the coal probably dropped into the smelter, which can happen with any "ore".
click on the smelter instead of letting the item fall.

there is no such thing as a coal ingot, coal is used exclusively as a fuel.
i doubt steel will be added, but we can hope.

mined coal cannot be used to create coke, you have to buy coal for that.

coal needs to be added to the fire below the smelter.
any fuel works.

only the smelter can create ingots.
the furnace is only for heating ingots/swords, creating damascus and burning coal.

Coal is for both the furnace and the smelter ("melting pot"). But you can't make coal ingots, because coal is fuel, not metal. The "wooden box" in the shop is filled with this coal (you can't make your own wooden boxes though).

Basically, coal is for lighting fires. You can't use a coal box to light the smelter though, only coal ore works for that.

Edit: Ah, this is what I get for taking a quick break after clicking the notification, response got ninja'd lol

I understand. the wooden box is a lighter gas to use on furnace and the smelter.

I meant, coke stove.

How it works?
I have to put coal ore or wooden box on stove?

I have a lot coal ores, but not work on melting pot or stove

The "wooden box" you keep talking about is the "coal box" mentioned in that coke stove tutorial. Coal ore will NOT work for the coke stove (but the ore can fuel/light the furnace and smelter).

So, once you buy the coke stove, open it up, then crouch right next to it while holding a coal box, then let go of the box while holding it near the bottom of the cage. Then as the instructions say, you just close the door and wait at least 5 minutes, and you'll have coke. You'll know 5 minutes have passed if the coal in the cage turned gray.

P.S. You don't have to worry about "overheating" in a coke stove, so there's no need to feel like you have to hurry up and use it as soon as it turns into coke.

Nice. i got it now. I will test this tomorrow.

But, there is something I still cannot understand.
As you said before, coal ores can be used as fuel for the furnace and also to fuel the fire below the smelter. right?
Every time I try to put it on the coals below the smelter or forge, it doesn't work.
The coal ore leaps away, as if it has an invisible wall. this appears to be a bug or perhaps an issue.

On the wall near the foundry is a paper with instructions. it says I can use charcoal, but in practice it doesn't work. I am accumulating a lot of coal ore that cannot be used ..
It would make sense to use them to fuel the smelter or smithy flame ... but as it doesn't work ... it becomes kind of useless
