Smelted metal v bought metal
So I just got this game, played through a bit. And I have a question. Is the proper working temp of smelted metal higher than that of bought metal? Like, copper bought is workable at around 800 degrees. But when I smelt my own copper and get it to my usual 850, I might get 1 hit in before it is too cold to work. So is the temp needed higher? or is this a bug?

I don't think its a bug, it must be you heat it up a bit more so you could have that "1 extra" hit, and if you smelt your own did you put all 3 copper's in the smelter or did you mix it up, since copper has the fastest cooling off timer next to gold and silver so if you added 2 copper 1 iron it will not cool off as fast as pure copper.

I didnt know I could mix them. um, no, it was three pieces of copper that I put into the smelter. I aim for betweeen 825 and 850 on the temperature with copper that I buy that gives me roughly 6-8 hits depending on how fast I can get it out and onto the anvil and start hammering away. But when I do the same thing for the copper I smelt, I might get 1 hit in.

Yeah, when you go down to the mine you can get a lot of different ore's and when you buy smelter you can make different kinds of ingot's, but hmmm I don't know the answer to this question im sorry :/

Last I played, copper can only be made from the mining with the ores. The ingot you buy from the first area is Bronze not copper, which is an alloy of copper and currently can't be made since you can't find Tin in the game.

Im pretty sure you cant but copper only bronze and they have different working temperatures

I bring my copper up to between 950 and 1000 and that seems to work well but I only smelt mine from ore. I don’t think you can smelt bronze here. But I could be wrong
