"Death" crystals

I keep getting "death" crystals in exchange for swords but i cant find any use for them. They appear to be the same type of crystals that activate the magic table but these wont activate. I have the death rune in my spellbook. I have looked through all the recipes at the cauldron and its not in any of those recipes. They also disappear every time i exit the game.
Anybody know if these are currently used for something?

I figured thats what they were for. They arent working, they wont activate the table like the other crystals do. Ive made magic swords with all the bought crystals(nature, blizzard, blood, fire) with no problems but the death crystals wont activate the table.
They wont even go in the little holder that the crystals go in when you walk up to it and interact with it.

I can't even get the Magic Table to activate for normal stuff.

Only thing that activates it are the crystals for it. If you have opened up the mithril caves go buy a "blizzard" from there and with it in hand click on the table. That should put the crystal in a little holder on the table. Then get a swords and click on the table again, that should put the sword on the table and get you started. If you dont have the caves unlocked to buy "blizzard", just go buy "nature" from magic woods. Blizzard is cheaper, thats the only reason i recommend getting it.

Yes, I have the same question. There are more crystal recipes than you can buy crystals. Where do I find the other crystals? Also, there is hell crystal in shop, but not hell rune recipe. Where am I supposed to get that?

Not sure if you guys figured it out yet so i'll just drop it anyway:
crystals you cannot find in shops are found in the mines.
the Death rune recipe is given to you by a customer in exchange for a sword (1500 or under iirc) once you achieve 50k rep (or is it 100k rep? cant remember)

im having the same problem, I boughy the death rune 3 times pick it up, and it doesnt display that page in my magic book. i think the rune only can buy once and it will say it
had been "sold" but not for the "death rune". is that because i have "hell rune"? i got it exchange from customer beofore any other rune, then i bought it at once long ago, until i get death crystal got it from exchange as well. and realize i don't have that page in my magic book. so i bought it again and again. it just not going to show that page in my magic book. it just won't said it sold in the shop either.

Through mining you can get the Death Crystal
