new forging method?
hey just wanted to ask a dev if its possible impliment it so people can hold incomplete blades with tongs as making the small thin swords its impossible to put the incomplete bar in the forge again to reheat i lost 5 blades doing 3-4 small blade segments since the blades pretty much at a 84 degree angle so the forge hitbox wont let you place it back in

You can do it, it's just a bit tricky. If the blade goes flying off somewhere it should be laying on the floor somewhere around the shop. Have you tried looking around on the floor between the forge and the handle station/Alchemy Table area?

For the devs: Maybe bring back the option to rotate the tongs 90 degrees? That might make placing nearly complete blades in the forge a bit easier.

ive foundem tho theyre completely adamant they dont what to go in there its the level 3 furnace so i wasnt sure if it was just a hitbox bug,

also noticed i cant see the animation when heating up pre smelted alloy bars for as they get hot ive ruined 1 completely tho i tried another waited until it was at 900 and it was cooking properly it just wasnt red hot or anything even after i forged it a bit it wouldnt show the heating colours so i think its just a glitch

Odd, I usually don't have too much of a problem with it, especially the level 2 and level 3 forges. Usually the one that gives me the most trouble is the level 1. Have you tried making sure you're all the way up against the forge before releasing the blade into it (so the blade/ingot is as far inside the forge as possible before releasing)? I always do that and it seems to work pretty well.

just equip the incomplete sword with a handle section, and it will sell, well I just sell them off by pressing U with the unfinished ones till its fixed ;)

I didn't have a problem with those blades until I upgraded to the level 3 forge.

yea, level 3 forge is annoying, has like a "maw" opening, really nasty, tier 4 forge fixes it back tho.
A side note, if you guys haven't noticed, it's actually possible to properly aim your hammer and hit on both sides of the blade, effectively making double progress with each strike. Like this, you can actually heat titanium only once, up to it's maximum heat threshold, and it'll be enough to shape it into a sword before it cools down... Everywhere I looked, I saw people only try to hit the ingots on the outer edges, effectively denying themselves the chance to learn this.

Oh and special notice, I would like to say that water can is OP as ♥♥♥♥. The role of the bellows is to restart the fire in the forge, upon pressing it, if there's fuel left in the forge, it'll immediately get to max temperature. Just hovering the watering can above the furnace for half a second is enough to cause the furnace to "shut down" in 2-3 seconds, in that state it doesn't consume fuel. I've managed to create 5 full iron blades before I needed to place another coal crate in, as I was using the watering can whenever the ingots were orange enough to work. The remainder of ingots in the furnace will slowly cool down and do not risk overheating, but when you use the bellows again, they'll pick back right up from where their temperature was, so it's really easy to make lots of swords at once.
