Why is this not available?

I'm asking myself this same question. No matter how much I looked into the game studio's website, social media, game news websites or anywhere else, no one is talking about it being taken out of the store. It must've happened from night to day, without any reason, without anyone noticing. The game is good (I assume), it got good reviews. Why do this? This is triggering me beyond belief because I really wanted to buy it.

Moreover, if you look at the developer's page on steam, you'll see that they still have one of their games (Dreaming Sarah) there, still available for purchase; and another retro game collection which he worked on (Spooky Station), which was a collaborative work among other developers, also available for purchase.

There might be something fishy going on at the backstage. Maybe copyright lawsuits? Who knows? I'm just speculating. There's no way I'd know. However the guy who made this game said he is also still developing Awakening Sarah. So he's still active. Who knows if Dandy & Randy will ever come back for sale. We can only hope.

So, good news! I sent a comment on one of the developer's videos on their youtube channel and he replied back saying that the game just isn't available right now because he changed publishers, but will soon come back on store with extra stuff and will be available on every other plataform also! It's coming back this year, so stay on the look out! ;P No need to buy keys from any fishy key selling website hehe!

On the company's website we can see the game "Dandy & Randy DX", and says that it will arrive this year. Will the new version replace the original on Steam, and who already owns the game will receive DX version as a free update? Or it will be sold as a separately version, and there will be a discount for the owners of the original one?

it is currently available on Daily Indie Games, which as far as I know is a legitimate key reseller (they generally get cheap keys directly from developers/publishers, I think). that's one of the few legal places to get delisted games aside from trades or a lucky giveaway from someone with spares. most people don't bother with it as there's honestly loads of junk there, but the consensus is that it's generally above board.

So it was a separate game with no free upgrade or discount for previous owners afterall. Just a generic discount for everyone.

Yeah... it's a shame really, but I was honestly expecting it to be that way. At least we have the game back, I just don't know what's so "deluxe" about it. If anyone knows, please tell me. Cuz I'd really like to know. Then again, the dev adds a "DX" at the end of some of his titles, so it might not be anything spetacular afterall.
