Mesermize beats punch?

So I just had a combat with a New Vampire where I punched and they had mesmerise. Punch should have cancelled it out, but instead the game cancelled my punch and let me get mesmerised. Seems to be a problem

Thanks for getting in touch Toasty. Our QA team have given this a few tries but not found any issues with the punch card cancelling mesmerised as described.

The only scenarios for when punch would be cancelled, or mesmerise would not be cancelled, that we can think of are as follows:
* Plotting was used in a previous round and Dracula used that to cancel the punch card
* The Enraged event card was played which prevented the mesmerise from being cancelled
* It was a multi-hunter combat and the character using punch was not the engaged hunter therefore it didn't affect the mesmerise being resolved

The first two would provide feedback in a dialog to highlight they were triggered.

So is it possible one of the above scenarios was in play in this case?
