Potential mosaic-removal idea
Greetings, discussion board members.

I'm mulling something over in my head and with others about a potential modification to remove the mosaics from "Seed of the Dead".

Thanks to DarkSpartan on Discord, I understand what file the mosaic is called, but I'm sorta stuck on how to change it. The idea I have is to make a blank material in UE4.21 and create a .pak for that one .uasset file, but I'm willing to take ideas if anyone here has any better ones.

That's a sloppy way to do it. This will remove all basic shapes that share the same built.
And yes, this will fully uncensored the girls privates at least during the sex scenes.

If it's a poor way to do it, do you have any better suggestions? If the censor relies on the shape object, yet other things might too, is there any way around it?

To remove mosaics during gameplay remove "ST_MosaicBoard" and "ST_MosaicChinko" from "...\Content\00_RoD\02_Character\00_Common\TexMatFX".

Can you share what you removed to remove the "strap" part of the mosaic?

Those you can find in the mesh folders for each character. Search for these they have the same name:
Amoza.uasset
bmoza2.uasset
Cmoza.uasset
Pmoza.uasset

Smoza.uasset from the "05_ZombieS1" also needs to be removed.

From a bit of testing it seems as if Aya is the only one with a completed lower texture. The other two are just solid skin textures.

Examining the uncensored and Steam version, there are differences in the models:

This is a comparison of the nude model of Hikari, as shown the uncensored version has a more modeled pubic area.

This means even with the mosaic removed, textures and models (maybe even animations), will have to be pulled from the uncensored version of the game.

I'm not really sure how to proceed from here, open to suggestions.

Is this still going here?

I wish it was, but I'm currently at a standstill on what to do.

To remove the mosaic the current way breaks Act 5. Plus 2/3 main characters don't have any genitalia.

I'd like to import some of the models/blueprints from the uncensored version of the game, but it is built on Unreal Engine 4.15, while steam is on UE 4.19. I've tried converting the .uproject to 4.19 yet importing the assets to the Steam version still cause the game to crash.

In my opinion, some blueprints (scripts) need to be replaced to stop the censor from applying, as well as some textures and models need to be imported. However, I can't go about seeing which ones do what if I can't edit/import anything.

Would be really nice if someone with more experience with Unreal Engine could provide some insight.

Well, if that so, I do wish we find someone who has enough experience. The game is fun, but the censorship is a little distracting.

4.15 and 4.19 doesn't use the same file structure.

Any idea on how to update the older files?

I tried to search on the internet and I don't know either.

PS: Got Discord? Maybe we can band up and help each other more efficiently that way

Sigh. Much heroic effort here for not much. Face it, the body models are pretty plasticly -looking. So not sure it's worth the effort even if mosiac-removal is successful. The sequel Sweet Home is a way better game with much nicer body models, & there's a way easier way to dump the mosaic using 3Dmigoto-1.3.16 & re-editing an .ini. My two-cents.
