They might be fairly clean but Lobbies are few around and rarely go over 5 people.
Around a week or 2 ago i had few events in 9 people lobby though.
Although, it didn't find it all that valuable to begin with... I find the hot lap, pace setter and other single car trials more useful in this title than the actual racing. The reason being that there is no damage model or strict penalty system so drivers just "barge" their way through without any actual true racing sport moves (i.e. no late braking or slipstreaming). The assists are very powerful and just about everyone runs full assists online so you either have to turn them on to compete or just know that people who have no racing knowledge at all, are going to turn fast laps without much knowledge.
That being said, the few online races I did were cleaner than most sim for the most part (aside from the online cut cheating). I still enjoy the single car challenges but I don't recommend purchasing this title for actual "multi car racing" as even the AI races are more of a demolition derby rather than racing.
I have almost 900 hours in ACC. It's great, but i play that when i want to race with my wheel.
I need something more like Forza Motorsport so i can race easily with a pad. I am very capable of racing clean with a pad. I own FM7 too but it's unplayable for me because of constant micro freezes.
RRE i have tried but i don' t like the business model and it doesn't have weather which is a must for me.
Thank you for the suggestions though.
I tried some public lobbies in PC2 yesterday. That easily qualified as playing Wreckfest. But i see your point.
Your first sentence answers my question.
But i hear what you say about assists and i do use them too when i play racing games with pad.
I think in general it's better to allow players to have easier driving model in a simcade/pure arcade racing game. It's safer that way and preferable to having them crashing left and right.
Nah, i need Silverstone, Imola, Panorama etc.
Maybe Grid Autosport?
It actually still have playerbase alive enough for full lobbies at the time ( 12 people) but racing quality there was pretty low last time i played it.
