VR Graphics are terrible
I have an RTX 2080ti, 32 GB 3600Mhz ram and a Ryzen 3800x. I've run the game on Oculus Quest 2 with link and my Odyssey +.. No matter what settings I try to tweak the aliasing and overall graphics are horrible in VR, like so ugly it's just not playable. Can anyone help me to fix this please? I have scoured youtube and google to no avail... Thanks

Yep sucks for me to. Think I got a reasonable good pc (Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB, ATI RX 5700 XT) But i have to tune it all the way down settings wise to enjoy some kind of fluid gameplay. But in fast corners, when the surroundings rotate it stutters like crap!

Yeah it really is a mess... I actually have no problem with performance, it is purely the aliased mess and really low resolution that makes it simply not playable for me. I know there has to be a fix as PC2 runs like a dream with everything maxed out for me. I really wish the devs would pay pay attention and fix whatever is broken here..Especially after paying close to 100 bucks for this mess..

considering how many sim racing elitists bashed the game. Doubt any kind of such fixes will come soon.

Funny, I use Oculus Rift S, no issues. Why are you using a HMD that is relied on the HMD itself for performance as opposed to an HMD that uses the GFX card to run? Seems like that might be your problem.

That must win something, most confused and uninformed post I've seen here, and that's saying a lot!

Sorry if I was speaking outside your capability; would you like me to break it down for you. :)

It's not outside my "capability", it's outside of reality.

Please do explain tho, cus you seem to believe PC3 runs on an Occulus Quest native? I'd love to hear your theory on how one does that "without using a gfx".

The Quest 2 runs off your graphics card via the link. It doesnt run on the headset. Check your facts before you post so you dont make a tit out of yourself.

Not only do you get your first post wrong, then you double down and act cocky without checking to see if you're wrong. What an utter plank.

We are all still waiting to be enlightened and dazzled by your insights on this matter. I hope you haven't ascended to a higher state of being before laying the truth on us, we deserve to know!

I only have a 1080 Ti with a 3900x but it's become apparent that a 3080 or 3090 will not give me crisper visuals in PC3. The visual fidelity of PC2 and AMS2 is noticeably 2x-3x better (way more clarity with sharpening and MSAA Med) with performance being able to stay around 90 Hz without Motion Smoothing and a big grid of cars. I can't see a way of getting both visuals and performance in PC3 on par with it's predecessor.

Are you using MSAA?

I recently upgraded from a Rift CV1 to a Quest 2 and it's a massive improvement for PCARS 2 when it comes to clarity and definition.

I really wanna try PCARS 3 since it's more of an arcade game. But for me it needs to run smooth and with good visuals in VR. (I can run PCARS 2 pretty nice on my system).

So is VR any good in PCARS 3? Can I expect decent graphics running a 4.6Ghz i76700k and RTX 2060? Are there any deal breakers for VR I should know before buying it?

Thanks.
