What car did you use? What did you set the AI to? Wheel or controller?
Very Easy, with controller, traction control LOW and ABS. I used the Ferrari Enzo.
Yeah I won too, but it was frustrating as hell, I had to restart a lot of times, and in the second track I gave up, finishing 3rd... AI is just broken, no one tested it.
All assists off and the longest possible Final Drive ratio to make the car more controllable in the snow. I was short-shifting a lot to keep the wheelspin contained, and then using an exaggerated extra-wide outside-to-inside-to-outside line to maximize my traction and minimum corner speeds.
It's a thing IRL. TBH I don't have too much trouble with how the player car drives on ice, the issue I have is the AI clearly not being balanced for this event.
The McLaren I brought had about 700 horsepower at the flywheel. And with Summer Tyres on an icey surface you're going to get wheelspin at almost any gear and speed. F1s could (in)famously spin their wheels in third gear IRL. And that's on a dry road.
The further I get into PCARS, the more it feels like it was just released with whole sections being in early development. And needing Balance Passes. GT Open is even worse, the AI run Hybrid Systems with a 300 horsepower boost. And they're able to use it across the entire lap instead of just for a few seconds. You're 300 horsepower down for a large portion of the lap, even if you use your own boost strategically.
for AI-Weather condition:Clear/Hazard -Road:Non-slippery
What a joke???!!! AI still passing you easily
Well, I said with traction control set to max it shouldn't be a thing. And since you can't change tires in PC3, I have to assume the game has put on the optimal tire for me - snow tires.
But I have bigger issues with the AI than the player car's handling, true.
It's still the same a year later?

Its a shame because there are some really fun race but the other part of the game fails. I dont know whtats wrong with it.
this particular event is one of my many frustrations with the game.
and there are so many others, you could rip 3 parts of this game out and still struggle to have a half decent game. what were they thinking of to produce such a mess of a game
