IndyCar Championship round 4, Indianapolis lap14-16 crash

Just wondering if anyone else is doing the Indianapolis IndyCar championship and on the last round, about 14 to 16 laps in, has the game lock up? I have experienced this 4 times consecutively with restarting my PC every time. In the 19 hours or so I have played this game, I have only had it lock up twice, mostly after hours of playing.

But this race at these amount of laps in, without fail will lock the game up for me.
Has anyone else experienced similar?

If this happens again, check your windows events. If the whole PC hardcrashes so it has to restart there's probably something wrong with it. Could be in a range from temperature issues to failing drivers.

I have not had this happen again and finally completed the event, it seems it was an nvidia driver issue. DDU and solved

When it worked for me, I put the game on the lowest settings but I had also reinstalled my graphic drivers. I feel one of these two things fixed it

Happened to me 3 times between L14-16, game freezes and I could only do a restart of the PC.
Stopped the trials now until it will be fixed (or not).

Same issue for me on 2 different PC's, both on lap 16 at Indy.

Same here before the end of lap 15. Many patches came out and it hasn't been fixed at all. Why, dear Pcars 3 team?

The reason why the race freezes in Indy Oval is the XP Counter. It must have a limit that lets the game run properly and if this limit is exceeded, the game will freeze.

In order to finish a long race you have to crash, to reduce your XPs earned, whether you like it or not.

Hit a wall to reduce your XP. It helps. Because it has a limit and when that counter exceeds the game freezes

hi guys, I tried this race SEVERAL times, and as described, it would crash at lap 14 - 16.
But finally I was able to complete it, by pausing the game a couple of times, like lap 12 and 18. I also went by the centre track, reduced the velocity... just to vary things. It may be the XP counter... but mine was above 1 million, and after the race it got reduced to 800k (still very good >600k credits).
