Triple Monitors: Can the HUD be put on the center screen?
Okay, I've decided I'm going to get this ASAP if my fellow triple-monitor gamers can tell me that the HUD either shows up on the center screen by default, or can be adjusted to do so. Can't stand it when they're spread out on the left and right. (Looking at you, Codies/GRID Devs...)

If not, I'll wait for a sale or a patch to fix that! :cgrazz:

It's on the center screen. You cannot adjust it.

Well that's just objectively wrong. I bought and installed the game after seeing your answer and there's an entire section of the settings for setting up triple screens!

Until you set that up, the HUD is on the left and right screens. Sheesh, thanks for nothing. Too bad we can't downvote...

Why not just configure the triple screens which puts it to the middle then (especially if you are running triple screens)?

With that enabling triple screens, it will think it's just one large LCD.

Well, as I saw in another thread, you brought over settings from PC2, so you could have mentioned that the HUD was not on the center screen by default. Or that you didn't know.

Anyway, I will set it up as soon as I can figure out how. To start with, I don't know what they want for the physical measurements. I guess I'll start with millimeters, but it would have been nice if they made it clear.

Should be centimeters without the bezel. Just raw screen size.

Lol. Yeah, cm. I just figured that out. Thanks, though.

There's a bug with the physical measurement numbers not saving at first, and when they do, the text is black and nearly invisible. But in the end, it works.

Man, the lack of AA is really an issue, isn't it. The graphics aren't great, but good enough, and a little AA would go a long way!

Would this work for your Codemasters problem?

Cool! Thanks, CarDr. Will give it a try. Really appreciated!

Edit: Well, I'll give it a try as soon as I'm bored of PC3, of course. :)

Unfortunately, that didn't work. I checked both config files for GRID (2019), and there's nothing mentioned about Eyefinity or Nvidia Surround. No mention even of "osd." Bummer. It's a decent arcade game and runs really well at high settings on three monitors (it's a pretty game!), but that damn HUD spread out on the left and right screens really annoys me!

Thanks anyway!

You might try adding that line into the file and see what happens. Open the config file with wordpad. As you scroll down that file you should see the lines something like this, add the line below the <directx .

</audio_card>
<grapics_card ........
<directx ............
<eyefinity force="3x1" osd="" />

You never know about Codemasters, if they do something for a reason or left something out by mistake.

Thanks. Will try that, too. But I use Nvidia Surround. Should I still use "eyefinity"?

Edit: Yeah, that didn't work, though there is no "directx" tag in the file. I just tried putting it within the graphics_card tag. Let me know if you have any other suggestions!
