Just curious, is anyone here buying Venus Vacation PRISM?

I don't think I will buy it cause it looks like a very mid SFW dating sim game with stunning visuals.

I think exactly the opposite. What's the point of having sex in a dating sim? The cool thing about this type of game is that you can simulate a relationship with the girl you choose with your own interaction choices. It's a Dating Sim, not a Sex Sim.

The two of them actually synergize. You form the parasocial, emotional connection with the character, then that lends itself to the sexual gratification of the overall experience. That part doesn't necessarily need to be in the game though.

I actually agree with you here. Given how tame PRISM is: it's only one step above a visual novel, due to the graphics. It definitely doesn't warrant the asking price.

All my successful dates end up with sex at the end. If the sex isn't good, I'll throw my "date" away and get a new one or rotate amongst my collection. Some XXX-factor needs to be in the game imo. If it's just a dating game with no sexy elements, I'm not buying. Add in some pole-dancing, poses with photomode, outfit dress-em-up or even full blown sexual intercourse and I WILL buy! Sex sells...but who's buying? Us naughty boys and girls of course!

It doesn't particularly matter where a company is based or was founded, these big corporations are all international and swim in the same cultural ocean, as it were. Check the annual reports for Square Enix Holdings and Koei Tecmo Holdings for example and you'll see both companies talking about diversity, environmental social governance and all the other ideas that have permeated corporate culture globally. That said, it's still nice to support games that resonate with you because the basic idea of commerce should be that you get more of what you pay for, and if you stop getting what you want, stop paying.
