About birthday suits

Ok, so I've done a little calculation. If you're unlucky, and want to surely unlock a character's birthday suit, you must pull 20 times from the birthday gacha.
And for that, you need 100 000 paid vstones. And (if not discounted), 15000 stones cost 120S$, so it costs around 840S$, which is like 570 €.
(I know, sometimes, there are discount)
I was thinking about unlocking the birthday suit for my favorite character, but DAMN, it's so expensive, it's literally out of my league.
So the best thing for me is do one pull, so I can watch the story. (Yes, I'm one of the few people, who also plays the game for the story )
Are birthday suits really that good? I mean, I was very lucky at Honoka's birthday, when I unlocked her suit on the first pull, and it's a great suit, but not 570€ great.
I think, I just stick to the free suits, and try to level up them to 90, and awaken them on the long run, if there's the chance.

The Dolce line (the current birthday dresses) have a double activated skill that gives an attack buff (TEC or POW depending) and a STM saver. The double activated skill will check on every attack, meaning if they off slot there is still a chance of the STM saver. Since this is the activated skill you can make it a cheering board to get the same effect. Birthday dresses also tend to have a higher set of stats than a similar SSR at max level.

Well, you don't have to level them. They always come in at level 90. But yeah, dropping $500+ is kinda crazy. I usually limit myself to 5 pulls, or something like that.

My advice is to either never do it, or only do it once.

The paid birthday suits are definitely the best, but you're not suddenly going to win all the PVP events. More likely you'll just finish one tier higher in the rewards than you usually do.

The main benefit you get from these suits is that you can leave this girl as your ace forever and ever and never replace her. If there's only a couple girls you like, maybe that's worth it, but definitely not if you like a large variety. You're basically marrying this girl for the remainder you play this game. Get a second birthday suit and you're completely locked in with that duo, unless you want to waste the money you spent by buying a third suit and having one go unused.

Keep in mind that this is really a 0.78% gacha. Granted, the remaining 0.32% still gets you a birthday suit, but a weaker one. That's the other thing to remember, each year's birthday suit is likely to be stronger than the previous one. The oldest ones aren't really any better than the best free suits.

You have about a 20% chance of failing all 200 draws and needing to do the buyout instead. So while it's more likely than not that won't happen, it's not rare at all.

Ya i agree on that. I also just spend 5k paid stone for every character for birthday event.

I got Dolce Nanami on my 7th pull, and proceeded to waste 8 more trying for her angel spike SR XD Don't be like me and get out if you do get the suit early. Still a very nice and OP suit though.

From my guests' friend list, ringed girl tend to show up at free Trendy Gacha. I guess it has a perk having girls with birthday suits. Not always just higher tendency.

Well, I just did a total of 230 pulls and did not get even a single SSR suit. I already knew too that the odds are against me since it is only 1.1% but I did not have Nanami so I thought to myself that "ok, I'll just stop till I hit any SSR suit, if I am close to 200 after I got one, I'll just continue and buy the Melone suit, then at least that's 2 suits". But of course the worst have to happen. So in conclusion I can tell you right now that it is definitely not worth it at all. I've learned my lesson, from now on I'm going to pull just enough to get the dolces for decorations + episodes.

Thank you everyone for the answers! I'm glad, I stopped myself in time, before I spent so much money!
Just one more question, if I get it right, there are 3 stories you can unlock? One you get for the one pull (2 memories, the dolce suit and cake), for 8 dolce you can get the flower bouqet/wedding dress story (2 memories), and for 10 dolce the ring story (1 memory).
If I do just one pull, and see only the wedding dress story, next year can I do the ring story, or every year there's a different item you can buy for the birthday coins?
I'm asking that, because 2 pulls per character is quite expensive, 1 pull is also expensive, but it's kinda managable.

Thank you! So you can get the previous birthday episodes every year. Because the plan is to get the wedding dress and the actual story now, and next year the actual story and the ring storyline.

imo, it's probably not that good because Honoka is STM char & her free basic skill is mostly APL oriented. Yeah you need to spend lot to make her really good compared to POW/TEC char which has higher offensive presence from the get go

Paid suits are great but without actually optimising your team with potentials , accessories and bromides they won't carry you very far but once you do get around to doing it your team can stand up against rng through brute force

If you kinda like the girl, spend once, get a birthday cake, participate in the birthday festival, now you have 5000 Free V-Stones back.

If you actually like the girl: Spend enough to be caught up on her owner episodes I guess.

Only if you're a psycho-simp for a girl because there's something personal about her: have a finance plan because...yeah. Although you might also consider therapy instead lol.

For casual people, I say just do the pull once until you surprisingly pull a birthday suit in a single pull or something. Pacing and all that. Until you have a power, tech, and stamina team on complete accident. That way it remains just for fun, rather than become a source of financial stress.
