As for the tactics, in the early game, you can select auto tactics. Later, you should read your and the enemy's stats (POW,TEC,STM). And for example set the character with the higher TEC (or POW) to attack the enemy with the lower stats. As for the attack type, I use feint mainly for TEC, and spike for POW.
Sometimes, whatever you choose, if the game wants you to lose, you will lose.
(And the same for win)
But as I said, if you have the time, you should read through the guide!
For real!? lmao
Basically for every point attempt, the game "rolls a die". This determines what attack type is used, who uses it, and where it goes. There is obviously a weight given to who you choose to be the attacker, what attack type, and your chosen target. If it's the PC team it's basically a coin flip for all three. Sometimes, however, this means that the RNG throws your choice out the window. Then after that it determines what attack bonuses are activated, and then finally adds a random number to the total attack strength and defense strength. The highest total wins, if it's the attack a point is scored, if it's the defense, then the attack fails and the defending team has a chance to score.
Spikes are POW vs POW and Feints are TEC vs TEC. Venuses have a preferred attack type, but I think that only adds to their total strength and not to the RNG chance.
If you are overwhelmingly stronger than the opposing team, you will always win, simply because your attack strength is much higher than theirs.
Sometimes in close matches (especially in SS+ and SSS ranks) it's totally possible for the RNG to screw you over, and have the PC team always attack with their advantage stat and there is nothing you can do about it.
Also I say PC team, this applies to any team the PC rolls for. In versus matches you are technically playing against a player created team, but the PC treats that team as their own, and rolls with neutral weight.
