The mods that can get you banned if caught using them are cheat tools: such as auto-clicking mouse software and macros. Those are the ones to avoid.
EDIT: In case you overlooked, there's a mod installation guide here on Steam:

Banning whales worth thousands of dollars over autoclickers doesn't make sense to me, especially for trivial things like the guest gacha. You would need to pay someone to actively monitor for people you want to stop paying you, when you already have a automated system that mitigates automation. Makes no business sense.
I use an autoclicker for the guest gacha. I hope this confession gets me banned. Finally, an exit from this gambling game. Finally, I can go off and get a PS5 or an entire new computer instead.
Naturally, one wants the food. So I set to autoclick. It takes 7-8 hours nonetheless the last time I drained (according to my records) over 3,723,250 points (I think it was actually 4 million points, but that's when I pulled out my calculator).
3723250/5000 = 744.65
744 times. 744 times looping through the guest gacha to redeem all those rightful food points?
Screw it.
If the devs want to ban me over that after I've already given them well over $2000 at this point, so be it. I'll happily take that ban because having my computer autoclicking away when I could be spending that time on Elden Ring or something legitimate is already mind-numbing enough. It actually stopped once because I hit a 10,000 swimsuit limit that I had to drain.
I do not and will not regret using an autoclicker for the guest gacha during the time once every other red moon that I think it's time for me to drain that thing. That is food you rightfully earned. Again, it's not like you can bot the festivals already. The fifteen autos per day that they give you is already enough for most events. During ranking events you still need a proper p2w autopass. Whether you manually click or autoclick a festival, eventually it wants a long play confirmation. Only autopass bypasses that.
So yeah, after breaking the sacred rules as a danger-loving maverick myself, I can report is that such software can only really help you with one thing in practice: farming the stupid guest gacha for food.
So yeah I think they're bluffing about banning people frankly. Especially if you give them too much money. Oh, they have the RIGHT to ban but it's just stupid.
Now excuse me, I'm about to give them another $20 for this Luna event, although I was really looking forward to dropping $45 for a rock climbing event. Oh well, there's still Amy's birthday this month. Figured I'd fund $200 for that one.
Oh, DON'T FORGET TO BAN ME KT! I openly admit to (gasp) "cheat" the guest gacha.
So don't forget to ban me KT. Don't forget to ban me. -,-
(dammit my plans require that I spend whatever it takes next month to get Misaki her birthday outfit though...)
On that note, the "long play" bot test does pop up even if you have the paid autopass, it appears after any festival you play after 2 hours, that interval shortens every time the game detects suspicious activity (restarting the game will not reset the interval), and judging from old posts it seems like it gets as short as 30 minutes before the ban kicks in.
