Every now and then, there are step gachas where you get an SSR-ticket if you use paid stones on the 6th roll or something. Those together with the 20k packages, you could get a guaranteed SSR for S$30. I think that's about the cheapest deal they'll ever give you in this game.
Its stupid because they have a great game and the prices that there charging is outrages. If they lower the price they would actually make more money because more people can afford the events. For example, lets say 100 people can afford $120 on common basis. Then you have 2,000 people can afford $20 or $15 on a common basis. Where would you make the most money? Its simple math. I cant understand how they can value a skin at $300 to $400 dollars.
Probably because people who can afford to pay 15-20 dollars will only get suits they really want and then stop purchasing anything. While people who pay hundreds for a single suit have enough money to do that and often aim for highest places in ranking, so they would try to get all trendy suits and buy a lot of FP refillers. In this case getting hundreds from dozens of players every week is much better than getting one hundred from many people once or twice.
You have a point, but that area of people is extremely small and when most people spend money on a game, it because they like it. So when ever the have another free 20 or 15$ they will more than likely spend it on the game. I know 1 person who spends over $100 weekly on video games and that game is kings raid. That area of people that are spending $300 to $500 weekly just to play this game is very small . I am going to say 90% of most people cant afford that. So that leaves 10% that can. Why not aim to extract and attract the other 90%. From a business prespective I would would not want just 10% of my player base spending money on events and miss out on the other 90%. Why go after dozens when you can aim for thousands. The only reason I dont go after every outfit is because of the price. I can afford about $75 weekly. Why would i waste my whole $75 on RNG (Random number generator) when I can used it on something I can acquire for sure.
Thats true I guess, if the first release is super expensive, then release it a second time for cheaper to make money off new comers makes since. But all in all its still crazy expensive and I cant see myself spending $120 for 3 RNG chances or even 65$ for one RNG chance.
Let me hold some! you ballin
saw another gacha game with the price of 8000JPY for a 10-draw
The problem is that income from that "extremely small" amount of players will drop by 10-20 times. So they will need 10-20 times more people buying the same amount of crystals weekly just to compensate that. And from my experience, most players are proud about "playing games without ever paying anything".
Don't get me wrong, i would love to be able to buy paid v-stones at lower price. Currently even 14k pack costs a lot by my country prices (for example, i pay 10 times less for high speed internet and 80 tv channels combined). But when devs get less money from game, there's higher risk it will be closed soon. And steam version is not their main. So i would prefer to receive suits and characters at slower pace than to see this game become abandoned entirely.
Yea your right, dont want the game abandoned or closed
Koei Tecmo have always been consistent with the manner in which they price their products, be it games and their associated DLCs.
The only concession i believe that KT and Team Ninja makes for DOAXVV would be the sales bundles, which do come up quite often at SGD 120 for 20,000 stones and the best deal i had seen so far was for Halloween at 24,000 stones for SGD 120.
My buddy and i always discuss if we should purchase the stones when the 20,000 stone deals are up and especially when there are draws for certain outfits or special draws for other outfits.
He typically advocates "buy!", i typically advocate "caution!" because i am totally zen about the draws nowadays.
One can use over 125,000 stones and 60 trend SSR tickets and get nothing (yes, it happened to me) and yet get the Trend SSR which one would want in the first 10x gacha (yes, happened to me too!).
Some things are meant to be and some things aren't.
c'est la vie.
que sera, sera.
In my experience if you don’t say nothing, nothing will happen. Most developers listen to there customers/players. Now they may not lower the price but they might start releasing more events or create rewards for players that are spending money on the game. I have been playing kings raid for 4 years now and I contacted support team and asked if I could submit a review to the dev team. I sent them a one-page review of the game and they addressed every issue I had with the game. They lower the price on some items, they created the dispatch system, they increased the opportunities for getting chars special weapons, and reward players more who play the game constant. They also made hard to get items more accessible. They fixed all those issues over the course of 4 months. The also published my review on a post in the forms to get other players feedback before they made the changes. That’s what happens when you don’t remain content and voice your opinion in a respectable manner.
