Game

What is your main inspiration for the game?
One of the first inspirations for Inkulinati is a medieval manuscript known as Bréviaire de Renaud de Bar, from around 12th century France. On one of the pages you can see dogs besieging the castle, defended by armed rabbits.

What does the name Inkulinati mean?
It’s a combination of the words Ink and Illuminati. A secret society that dedicated their lives to the power of a magical substance called “The Living Ink”. Are they real? Of course they are. You can find out more about them in this video here: https://youtu.be/iSE5HcnhIoI
Humour of the game seems childish and silly. Are you serious, people??
To us, one of the most important things with Inkulinati is historical accuracy. Our main inspirations are real medieval manuscripts marginalia, mainly from Europe.
Our conceptual artists from 700 years ago created the appearance of our units, their activities and the overall mood of the game. And believe it or not - all of the fart and bum showing jokes, they are all taken from medieval manuscripts as well!! Yep, you can blame our ancestors for these jokes. P.S. You should look for Bonnacon images on Google... and penis tree.

Will murderous snails be in the game?
Yes they will be. And they will be both murderous and friendly.

I have a suggestion for the game. Where can I submit it?
The best place to do so is in this Steam thread Suggestions and Feedback

Music

I love your soundtrack! Will it be available on Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal etc.?
Can’t confirm or deny at this stage, but we should know more closer to the release date.

Dev People

Who makes the game?
We are a small studio from Poland. Met by pure chance, we want to surprise you with our hand-crafted worlds that may contain a bit of absurd humour. One of us wants to do over-complicated strategies, while the rest never read tutorials.

And here is our team:

Wojtek Janas is responsible for Game Design and Project Management.
Dorota Halicka is our Art Director.
Marcin Pazdan and Mariusz Nowak are our Programmers.
Aleksander Zabłocki is in charge of the Music in our game, as well as for Sound Design.
Ryszard Kiełtyka is responsible for Production and Biz Dev.
We work with Łukasz Kozak, our Specialist in the Middle Ages and Medieval Marginalia.
Michal Napora (32-33 video games marketing agency) Marketing and PR.
The Knights of the Unity who help us in Programming and Developing our game.

We also mention our Concept Artists everywhere - anonymous Medieval Illuminators from centuries ago.

We are published by the fine folks from Daedalic Entertainment.
