Ultra Off-Road Simulator 2019: Alaska

Ultra Off-Road Simulator 2019: Alaska

Ultra Off-Road VS PRC VS Dirt 2.0 VS MudRunner VS Alaskan VS Spintires
So Winter Sale came and went and now I am broke again lol. So with 2019 right around the corner - I started looking for new games to keep my eyes on. The thing is - I got troubles choosing.

Currently, on my radar are: Alaskan Truck Simulator, DiRT Rally 2.0, Ultra Off-Road Simulator, Spintires, Mud Runner and Pure Rock Crawling.

But none of them got everything I like or nothing that I DISLIKE. Alaskan got that FPS mode when you hunt animals (is this supposed to be Minecraft with trucks...?), DIRT 2.0 is full-blown AAA but pure racing, Ultra Off-Road looks and sound absolutely gorgeous but has only off-road cars, Spintires is cheap but a bit dated, Mud Runner is Spintires times ten but quite expensive and Pure Rock Crawling is... well. Early Access (I really have no faith left for Early Access games those days...).

What I am looking for has/is:
- cheap (under $ 25 price tag)
- has beautiful graphics
- realistic physics
- open world
- developers actively working on their game (e.g. Spintires is practically dead at this point).

So which one should I get from this list? Or maybe there is another game outside of that list that I missed? Any help/aid highly appreciated.

For the record - I've wrote a carbon copy of this topic on discussion so I can get wider perspective :P

As SpinTires, MudRunner & Pure Rock Crawling are the only ones currently available... I'd say go for MudRunner.

SpinTiers' dev moved away from the publishers Oovee to Focus Home Interactive, so MudRunner with American Wilds DLC is the most current version. Plus, it's in the Steam Winter Sale :steamhappy:

Pure Rock Crawling ... I like it, but it's got a long way to go before it's a complete experiance.

Dirt Rally 2.0 ... Going to wait for reviews before getting this one. Loved Dirt Rally, but felt Codemasters took a step backwards with Dirt 4.

Alaskan Truck Simulator ... Looks OK and was nearly fooled into thinking it was by SCS (ETS2 & ATS). Will wait on reviews of this one also.

Ultra Off-Road Simulator 2019: Alaska ... looks similar to MudRunner in some ways. On first sight I thought this was Saber's next project. Looking forward to this one and will be getting it day one.

Hii Bart! :D Glad you've found your way to us <3
Well Paul pretty much answered all your questions so I'll just drop some extra data from my perspective. If you want a game here and now - Spintires or/and Mud Runner. If you wanna wait till next year then please pick Ultra Off-Road lol XDD
(what? You really expected an unbiased reply ? :PPP )

And to be honest: I am perfectly fine with such topics to be made. Video games should put people closer together rather than split them in opposing groups. Each game you listed - when having a common core, has also something unique to offer. I believe all of our games can coexist peacefully and you know what they say:
"Competition guarantees progress".
Also, lack of competition - produces stagnation.

At the end of the day - its a win-win situation for us all, gamers and developers alike.
