I mean life comes first. Maybe another day you'll be able to pick up where you left off when your spirits are higher. But if you don't thats ok too. Cheers mate
but i just wanted to say that solo game development is just so very very taxing, and that trying to push yourself to meet a deadline or hype leads to some of the worst burnout in the world. and what would help for me, when I would get too burnt out to even look at the code anymore, was to take a big, long hiatus. go work on something else that isn't making a game, or I'd even go out for walks just trying to calm my nerves again.
it'd take a good few weeks, maybe i'll even forget the project existed. but, once I then naturally rediscover said project, out of my own curiosity, I am reinvigorated to work on it again, and progress is made!
the point I'm trying to make here is, take as long of a break as you feel like, take as many breaks as you need, and coding should be something interesting, or even exciting, not a task or a chore, and if you need many a break to relax to see that, then treat yourself and relax.
I got a nice life tip for you. Put down that tinfoil hat once in a while and stop smoking - whatever you are smoking.
Antumbra 1 earned me exactly 200 bucks. over all those years.
IndieGoGo camp had been canceled by me and none of the funds ever found their way to my wallet. Not like there was a lot of it mind you. If indiegogo took something from you and never gave it back - contact them, not me. I had never seen a penny.
In past 10 years I tried raising some extra funds but managed to get... around another 200 bucks. Which I spent on the game.
So hell yeah! 400 American dollars total! Wohow what a steal! exactly how much two months of my rent costs. Oh boy what a fking trickster I am.
But you know what I lost? over 50k dollars. This is how much I invested. My personal money. Over 10 years.
But you don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about that. You just angry and want to make someone to be the devil and as pathetic as you. You don't care I am old, you don't care I have a family to feed, you don't care how my health deteriorated because of all this.
You know exactly what you are full of:
$hit
Next time, before throwing accusations: do some research. Come with proofs of anything. Not just this pathetic "trust me bro". And I am not gonna defend myself further. Go on. Go all out. But I don't care anymore. This story ended. You are literally like that old man shouting at the cloud from the Simpsons meme.
But what I do care about is my family and the hills of debts I somehow have to pay.
You in the other hand are nothing but a smelly bug. And you will never, ever be anything more.
Not bad. Not bad to have one troll hater in span of over 10 years hah.
cheers
Oh and you know the thing with proofs is that you are kind a obligated to provide them WHEN you are throwing accusations. NOT because someone asked you afterward. And why would I ask for proofs if I know there are none...? It doesn't make any sense.
