Trying to make sense of the controls
Trying the demo out. Trying to make it more akin to Gundam Breaker 1-3.

Would be neat if boost acted as jump like in GB, but yeah you would loose normal free jump and moving forwards without using the left stick, but instead you increase in height in the game only if you boost and push jump or hold jump, but you're always moving (char) forward in here because of the boost, unless you redirect your char.

In GB boost allowed you gain height as long as you hold it down without moving around, if you use the left analog stick you dash in a certain direction until fuel is out.

The difference being in here you can't boost yourself directly up without having to use the stick to adjust where you're going.

In GB you don't have to switch your main weapons, you just use it with a button, but you had special attacks that you chose by doing by holding another button. Defence/Camera Reset was for the special attacks maybe, don't remember anymore. Also no reload, just heat buildup, basically "stamina" shown visually in reverse.
Dpad was to select consumables that healed, buffed or permanent weapons with a ranged or melee attack if you used the item use button.

(this is also weird that the controls section uses a mix of playstation L/R1-2 and xbox A/B/X/Y button prompts, maybe just a demo thing)
Controls I made for gamepad (using ps4 pro controller):
Movement default.
Jump A (X)
Booster X (Square)
Melee Attack Y (Triangle)
Melee Special Attack RT (R2)
Range Attack RT (R2)
Bullet Launcher Attack RB (R1)
Energy Launcher Attack LB (L1)
Gun Weapon Reload L (L3)
Activate Quantum Break Mode B (Circle)
Select Close Combat Weapon Y (Triangle)
Dpad default
(Un)Lock Target R (R3)
Aiming L2
Camera Reset L1
the rest default
Select (Share) button is unused.

Edit: Yeah I won't bother, going by the demo, this isn't worth it, it's so much inferior to GB 1-3 combat and in ways I can improve the combat there.

It just is super slow and clunky the melee combat anyways, plus a very limited amount of combat options, just switching the weapon meh, also too little and too slow compared to GB, any (musou) Warriors game can do better than that, well Dynasty Warriors (dw0/sm1) did start out as a fighting game like tekken.

Wish NewGB would have a demo, to see how much worse it is compared to GB 1-3.

Try playing on M+KB, you might be surprised.
Unlike Gundam Breaker though this game is more tailored for free camera combat, rather than lock on, similar to Dynasty Warriors series.

Might be free camera, but the combat is super dry in the demo. It's just very few hits that might have a minor difference in terms if you use the full combo or slow down the pace by doing even less, then forced pause, and then repeat it.

While in GB I could juggle hardcore difficulty enemy who could insta kill me right from the get go when starting the game without any upgrades, thus I was actually able to get some legendary parts right at the start of the game if you had the reaction skills to keep up with the gameplay, in here you're limited, you can't go full on kirito or dbz or bleach fighting style.

That's true.
MB doesn't have anywhere near amount of depth and polish of even GB1 yet.
