How to find trader?? Also spirit stones??
Hello, I was wondering if trader was only available via when they randomly visit my sect or if there was a way to find them whenever I needed them??
Also, I'm having issues getting spirit stones and I have no idea where to get them. I traded occasionally, I've heard people say to give cotton/fabric and I did, but I never got any spirit stones from trader?? help??

The trader is a dirty thief who will just take your things if you don't ask him to trade you spirit stones (or stuff of equal value) in return.

There's a mod to call traders any time but other than that you're kinda stuck with when they decide to show up.

Fabric is good $. People also mention making spirit bows (from spirit stone blocks).

Wait, so how do I get the trader to give me spirit stones instead?

"Buy" them from him like you'd buy other stuff. Click them on his side the way you click stuff on yours. Just make the "Value" at the top equal out.

There is also skill that your inner disciple can use to create spirit stone/crystal. How many can be create depend on how big the inner disciple chi pool.
Winterherz Jan 19, 2021 @ 9:40pm
which skill is it? :)
Strauss Jan 19, 2021 @ 10:24pm
From Myriad Artifact Law, the Skill is "Spirit Stone Refinement" cost 5k Qi to produce 1 Spirit stone, which can be learn by any inner disciples, while the advance skill "Spirit Crystal Refinement" cost 200k to produce 1 Crystal Stone.
I usually start the game using Myriad Artifact Law or Primordial Alchemy Law so i usually access this skill quite early.

Spirit crystal skill might be useful, but when you will be able to get at least a hundred spirit stones at once you should already have thousands of them from trading. I cannot imagine a situation where you will still want to make 100 spirit stones a day and then breath to restore half a million qi just to get another meager hundred. Although getting crystals from adventures should be also easier and more profitable but I did not actually tried it.

1 spirit stone makes 4 spirit stone blocks
10 spirit stone blocks makes 1 spirit stone bow
1 high quality spirit stone bow sells for 50 spirit stones.
Therefore: 5 spirit stones = 20 spirit stone blocks = 2 spirit stone bows = 100 spirit stones

But you need a merchant to cash your bows, they don't stuck and cannot be placed inside mini universe. Cotton and fabric stuck, can be placed inside mini universe and you don't need spirit stones from merchant to start it. Also you don't need high quality crafter but that not as important since you will want to have one anyway.
Other valuable option would be to craft bows from goldwood. It is also profitable, even if not as much, and you don't need a merchant for that. One goldwood cost 5 points from a sect that has practically infinity number of it all the time. You can make exact amount of goldwood timber from one goldwood to produce one goldwood bow which will sell for 12-15 (I don't remember exact number). You can start that literally on day 1 and you can use produced bows to trade with any sect for anything, you don't need to wait for a chance for selling them for spirit stones.
As a bonus timber production is much faster than block production.

You wont have a mini universe by the time the merchant first visits.

You start with 25 spirit stones.
You dont start with Goldwood (unless you take the one of the background picks I think).
To trade with another sect you need an inner disciple
And if you're playing on Tribulation IX, then you have no hope of trading any of the sects for anything. Then again, on Tribulation IX you practically cant trade with the merchant at all

The truly best thing to trade to the merchant is any old trash you have lying around

...but the conversion rate for Spirit Stones to Spirit Stones is: 5 Spirit Stones = 100 Spirit Stones

Yes, I did not thought about using starting spirit stones that way. It will give some more stones at first visit if you manage to make bows by that time. With how much work you need to do early and how early first merchant can arrive it not always reasonable I think.

One of my issues is merchants barely coming around. I hate how it's just random

I agree. You should use the Call The Merchant mod.

I dont use it because you cant rely on the Merchant on harder levels. He more or less doesnt exist.
