Once it does send someone to it. It will tell you the name of the law it unlocks. Send a disciple that has stats that match the minimum requirements (see the wiki for details, but be aware alot of the advanced laws require high stats).
There is also a law you can pick up from Skydome. Their talisman master has a unique supreme law; you'll know them because other people will name drop them in red when you chat and there favorites are the three talisman types. Find them, gift them a favorite and pick up what they drop and gain access to a unique and very powerful law (who doesn't want to write talisman's granting bonuses into their soul?)
I tend to always aim for Primordial laws after a while. Sure it means I can't reach Demi-god with the characters but it also means there is no forced heavenly tribulation. They are harder to break through though...
(I also kind of cheat with spawning in all the law books since it's interesting how they randomly generate all the random laws)
So you just spam those until you get the one you want.
For seven slaughtering law, you want an artifact fighter and enter the artifact fighting competition.
The guy you sent has to actually have 20 in artifact mastery or close to it afaik, so be aware.
All my people have the building labor enabled.
If you've done that you should be able to select the timber as material for building.
Six Paths Reincarnation law has "Derivative Calculation".
That's the ones searching for events.
I think Derivatice Calculation might be the better one, as it references "certain locations" while the other references "at the sect", which I take to mean on the actual sect map.
Tested Derivative just now by learning it with my elder and it unearthed a lost manual I managed to snatch with a 6 luck disciple - so that one definitely works, albeit at the cost of 10 years of lifespan.
You can find both of those by searching "attempt to predict" in the search bar of the manual pavilion.
As for artifact laws, the one you can get from the Kunlun event is the Myriad Artifact Law.
