Qi Shaping Monsters can't fly, so you only need to be careful of Snakes/Turtles/Boars.
Also before D10, they only have around 10% chance of turning into a monster, increases by 10% every 10 days after that I think.
If you make wood hunting bows, they knock out animals so you can move them away. This is risky because sometimes they die instead.
Core shaping monsters can fly but don't have artifacts so they can be kited indefinitely with Micro.
If they're ranged you can break line of sight by flying around a wall of rocks while your artifact hits them anyway.
GC monsters are when you need to be careful, but they show up around day 60 and if you rush GC you can be a decent GC day 13. That gives you 50 ish days to get PS to get strong enough to beat up GC, and even then most of the GC monsters will be things like Turtles/snakes/rabbits/cats that die to the cold from winter coming around that time, so if you kill them while they're core-shaping and you're PS, you should have no problems.
I enjoy it, there's a lot of interesting parts to it. Did you make too much of 1 element and having that element take over your entire sect?
You can fix it in 2 ways.
1. Make pills of another element, they will fuse into a new weather that will buff your outer disciples if its just 2 elements.
3 Elements will buff ur inners.
4 Elements will debuff the element thats not included.
5 Element decreases attainment/increases learning speed.
2. There is a new secret that happens on day 10 which has a manual that resets all alchemy Qi of a sect.
Once you have the map 'tamed' its not a bad idea to create a swath of unawakened animals so that their spontaneous evolution into a PS monster yields you good resources.
which i forced him to go into ptsd spiral to get anger buff and kill things almost instantly.
