Which Law is suited to what?
I read in a thread or guide a while ago someone listing each of the Taiyi laws and which were suited to artifact users or spellcasters, and how so, but for the life of me I can't find it (yay steam not having a History feature D:)

Can anyone help me out here? I'm trying to pick a second disciple, and I wanted him to be a spellcaster. D:

not sure about spell casting but the ones I do know are

Alchemy-Primordial Alchemy Law
Artifact Crafting-Myriad Artifact Law
Artifact Battle-Seven Slaughter or chariot

I usually just use true sun for spells since it has a bunch of spell casting upping manuals but Six Path is also a pretty good spell casting one

to be honest check the Inspiration tree and look specifically at the manuals with multiple levels, most of the manuals can be learned from the Pavilion, all except the ones with multiple levels so check that and decide there

The most powerful laws are obtained from the Kunlun Competition every year and from the Talisman quest for the Skydome Palace. Starting with the Kunlun Competition:

Debate Competition:
-Jade Purity Law, unlocks Tao Refinement for enhancing items with Tribulation Ashes.

Artifact Crafting Competition:
-Myriad Artifact Law, enabling the strongest artifact creation

Alchemy Competition:
-Primordial Alchemy Law, enabling higher success chance and quantity produced for Alchemy.

Sword Duel:
-Seven-Slaughtering Sword, enabling more artifact slots and wielding artifacts with far more efficiency.

Magic Duel:
-Emotion Severing Law, boosting max Qi to extreme levels while boosting spells to output massive amounts of damage for less Qi.

Skydome Palace:
Reaching 100 favor with He Zudao of Skydome Palace then giving them a Talisman paper grants the Primordial Symbols Law, not only granting some of the most powerful Talismans in the game but also paints Talismans directly onto the disciple's body for even more passive power.

Nnnneat. :3 But what about the 5 starter laws? More interested in what I actually have access to. xD

for the starter laws check the comments and they are basically defined like so:
fire=spells
wood=spells
earth&water=utility
metal=artifacts

the starting earth law can be good with artifact if you specialise on only one (idealy you want the legacy artifact Unus with that law)

If it's just starter laws, they are used as such:

Grand Chariot Wisdom Law:
Artifact combat with higher Artifact Mastery skill.

Six Paths Reincarnation Law:
Light offensive spellcasting and the Reconstruction spell for repairing missing limbs.

Sixteen Supreme Steps Law:
Utility spellcasting like Panacea, Seal Contract, Ensoulment, and Feng Shui Identify.

True Sun Refining Law:
Heavy offensive spellcasting with destructive multi-target spells.

Sunflower Refining Law:
Exploring the world with higher max Qi.

All the miracle you named are accessible to all law via the library.
Six Paths is mostly here for the nirvana pill and one of the exclusive plant growth miracle.
Sixteen Supreme Steps have an exclusive plant growth miracle too, take note that with the right casting order, Six path miracle and Sixteen Supreme miracle make a combo. (great for spiritroot)

Good info guys, thanks again! :D Hopefully this thread helps others in the future too. <3

Heaven Stealing law makes absolute tanks. Chariot and Seven Slaughtering make great dps. Sun refining is your good old dedicated spellcaster.

Which of the starting laws is best for crafting and alchemy? Ig Sunflower and Reincarnation, as they both make Qi-Tanks?

I'm coming back to the game after a couple of years and this thread is helping me out all over again. :D Someone should put this all into a guide to help other newcomers, it definitely helped me contextualize the Laws in an easier to swallow way than most of the other rather obtuse guides on a rather obtuse game tend to do. xD
