Can transcribing starter law fail?

Hiya,
started new game because my old sect got slaughtered.

So i started as usual, 1st day cultivator. got the other laws by day 20 or so and wanted to transcribe them but it fails everytime.

Never happend before.
I have six pavillions and I didnt change my mods (just qol and elysium).

He is still qi shaping.

Any ideas?

The only case I managed to fail copying laws was if your cultivator is too tired to finish writing them. Generally happens if I queue law copying too much.

Just waiting until (s)he sleeps and got 50 energy never failed until now.

If their intelligence is low they will take longer to do the job, just feed them an amber fruit before starting to keep their energy up

Yeah... if stamina runs out and they decide to go sleep on the spot it can fail... it can also fail if you force them to go attack something... that sort of thing.

Mental state also impacts speed. Pristines will transcribe way faster than stable that moves into unstable while doing it.

Its neither hunger or energy - its thirst.
I started with drink at 98 and it dropped so fast that after halfway through transcribing he interupted it and i got a seperate message he is thirsty (drink at zero).

i used amber fruit but he doesnt become immune to thirst :/

this was never an issue in my other sect i played before (i never checked needs and it never failed)

you can equip water buckets and amber fruits and right click to use them while transcribing

I tried that. needed 2 buckets and 2 meals and i barely made it at drink at 2 😅

Is your transcriber a human or Yaoguai? I think bears burn through hunger/thirst faster. I mean I only had problems when I tried to transcribe multiple laws in a row. Making sure to start with full mood, mental state, energy+amber fruit eaten it takes about a day to transcribe

its a cat.
but in my previous save i had a tiger and that just worked without problems.

i am just wondering where that huge difference is coming from.

Tigers have bigger bellies so they hold more water. Facts. Lol.

Weird, I might've run into this before if I didn't dodge yaoguai so much after a bad bear failed tribulation experience early on in my playtime.
