Walls just fall apart?
It's summer and my cultivation room keeps catching fire because the wall breaks and then the room becomes "outside" so the ice part and fire part don't cancel each other out anymore. Then the cushion in the fire part bursts into flames.

Is it normal for walls to break down? This is really annoying. I don't see anyone attacking the room.

It might be your pet if it isn't a random animal. Never had a wall just suddenly breakdown for no reason.
Couple of training options to watch out for are attack building/inner/outer/mortal.

It was a wild animal. I don't understand why they are able to destroy walls, let alone why they want to. But slaughtering everything near the building and building a fence around it seemed to help.
Around spring/summer you'll get new animals wander into the map, and they'll often pathfind from their entry point to a resting point a ways away. If that takes them through buildings, they start attacking them. It does seem odd, but on the other hand there's no shortage of "wild animal trashes X" videos out there, so...
Damned boars.

Combining ice and fire in one room sounds like it might not be great from a five element / feng shui point of view. It's also possible that the wall is catching fire, and that's what puts the hole in the wall.

I having the same issue as OP did. I guessed the best solution is to double-wall the cultivation room. I did that for the flood dragon containment room. Wild animals tends to have the tendency to attack the room for whatever reasons.

It won't feng shuck your shui unless you get the wrongs things too close together.

For a wood/earth element guy you really want pearls and crimson fruits/flame feathers but in a room that gets unpleasant if you don't balance it out with the opposite for temperature.
