My preference for Sunflower is because sooner or later you'll need someone to put on a talisman of invisibility and some overland travel talismans, and start doing lots of outside the sect adventuring. Sunflower has a built in overland speed boost. It makes for a good explorer. Early game when you only have one or two cultivators its faster speed means that character can leave and come back quickly, and later game it can do a lot of very fast runs.
But true sun is good too.
Thanks! Do you mean the spirit travel manual? Or is there a speed just from picking the law in addition to that?
the problem with sunflower is that you need Fire Qi which is a bit annoying to deal with early game, both because of finding the items and dealer with heat, so beginner friendly law would be True sun (spiritwood) and grand chariot(stone essence/9 free dragon feces).
also, Spell is way more powerfull than artifact early on, as you'll mostly craft bad artifact, so if you want some early game demon hunting capability, spell law will make it easier.
I ended up going with Sunflower, and I got a sentient phoenix egg in my area, so tons of fire mats perfect for my Sunflower from harvesting it. Then, my base was destroyed and every except for my Sunflower was killed, and the game turned into a cycle of me recruiting some outer disciples, and them deciding to slack, then freeze to death, before getting anything done.
I'll try True Sun for the next one, thanks.
Sunflower is very good for intermediate players, since they should know what to find in the world map. Very solid and usefull law.
If you want to use True Sun to it's full potencial, you need to know exactly what your are doing. The 7-day-GC1 is NOT easy to do and requires a very specific game plan (btw, you can actualy do it by day 6, aaaand i believe there might be a way to do it by day 5)
I went with sunflower and got to primordial spirit, and then decided that my last tribulation was so easy that why not start the next one right away? That was a mistake.
This time, I'm trying the Heavenly Sword, and so far, it seems quite a bit stronger than the Sunflower, and starting alone gives enough points to start with decent artifacts and a sword.
I also started in the canyon, so I'm drowning in earth essences for my cultivation room.
not from the real start(hence the 'only true sun can because of spring'), 7 day later in the game is quite easy. the only tricky part would be to unlock the area since you need to adventure a certain number of time, i don't have the step by step but should be doable if you turn all your starting guys into inner as fast as possible (hard working and remove all work) after turning the first one with the forming pill and recruit a bunch of outer slave from the nearest village. note that you can get some ressources by entering the map without having bought access (if i remember well you have 3 min before being attacked)
you would be missing the others laws so i guess your end up with a barely ok GC1, i'll try it when i have the time.
edit : now that i think about it it might have been done with the manual qi burst since it's popular (though i personaly concider it a bug exploit and don't use it) to compensate for the loss max Qi from not having every law.
Yes, it is possible to do it by day 7

You only need one inner. Choose manual guard (the option that gives you a manuals and soul inquiry) in the beggining. Keep restarting the game until you get the location of gemspring. Although i got it at day 7, i believe i could have done it at day 6 if i wasn't such a moron. I spent too much time doing useless stuff instead of increasing mental stat, wich is the most important thing to do (seriously, just 5 points is the difference between core 2 or 3 and core 1. it's insane). And yes, i also used manual qi burst.
that's a snake with boosted Qi sense i guess ? and yeah now i think it might not be doable without the manual qi burst exploit. i'll ask on discord if they used it too when doing it.
