Stat enhancing Miracles
So...according to description, it should give 20% in a stat, with lower initial values it should give bigger boost.
I tried to boost one of my outers in all 4 stats and the effect was always minimal. For example he had 4 Charisma which was boosted to "whooping" 4.40 CHA... that is NOT even those guaranteed 20% boosted... I mean wtf is this? Its not rly worth the investment if it works like this every time. Or em I doing something wrong?

even if it was 5% it would be worth it as it cost nothing (lifespan is available in a near infinite amount). to get a better result you should cast soul infection (not sure about the name but it's something to that effect) to lower their stats before casting the stat increasing miracle, then cast infection again to remove it and you'll have gain more stats.

your result is weird though, as by using it on a 5 const character i end up at 7, and 5 perc end up at 6.5 so some randomness might affect the result but every try end up on those 2 values so 0.40 increase feel really low.

I had a similar issue with a tiger yaoguai, when i tried to buff his CHA stat (1.40) it actually stayed 1.40 and i can't apply the buff again. On the other hand the PER and INT buff worked fine (20%) on him.

i did a test few days ago, soul infection didnt work for the remold (int, per, cha). The increased value remained the same for both with "soul infection" and "without soul infection". The devs could have done something to the calculation or mods affecting the results.

PER worked fine most of the time when I tried with more disciples... it seems quite random tbh

I've done a huge amount of testing with these mechanics and have been recording my results in a spreadsheet as I play. Here's what I've found for different stat values:

Body Shaping (w/o Soul Infection)

Before | After | Flat Change | Mult. Change
0.20 | 0.20 | 0.00 | 1.00
1.60 | 2.80 | 1.20 | 1.75
2.00 | 3.20 | 1.20 | 1.60
3.00 | 4.80 | 1.80 | 1.60
4.00 | 6.00 | 2.00 | 1.50
5.00 | 7.00 | 2.00 | 1.40
6.00 | 7.20 | 1.20 | 1.20
7.00 | 8.40 | 1.40 | 1.20

Soul Infection (-20% across the board)

2.00 | 1.60 | -0.40 | 0.80
3.00 | 2.40 | -0.60 | 0.80
4.00 | 3.20 | -0.80 | 0.80
5.00 | 4.00 | -1.00 | 0.80
6.00 | 4.80 | -1.20 | 0.80
7.00 | 5.60 | -1.40 | 0.80

SI + Body Shaping

1.00 (no data yet)
2.00 (no data yet)
3.00 | 4.50 | 1.50 | 1.50
4.00 | 6.00 | 2.00 | 1.50
5.00 | 7.00 | 2.00 | 1.40
6.00 | 8.40 | 2.40 | 1.40
7.00 | 9.10 | 2.10 | 1.30

Some observations:
* Generally these values are pretty consistent, but every once in awhile I do get a different result. However, if I wait a few in-game hours and try again, I get the higher expected result. Not sure what other variables affect Soul Infection and the stat miracles. Maybe time of day, mental state, mood?

* I've only found two values where SI + body shaping actually produces consistently higher results: 6.00 and 7.00. I've found that for 4.00 and 5.00 it makes no difference (they both become 5.00 and 7.00 respectively with or without SI), and surprisingly, 3.00 becomes 4.50 (+50%) when you use SI but usually becomes 4.80 (+60%) without it. I say usually because I have gotten 4.50 without SI sometimes as well.

This sort of makes sense, because when you drop the stats low enough, even though they get a higher % bonus from the stat miracles, as the values start getting smaller the % increases aren't enough to make up for the net lower gains.

I've yet to dig into modding or the Scripts folder a whole lot yet but maybe the formula is buried somewhere in there? Either way I use these numbers as a guide for what to expect when recruiting disciples and prepping my Gen 2.

oh wow this is rly helpful. Not sure if applies the same for all stats tho, so far it seems that PER and CHA always gets lower gain than other stats, but I haven't done much testing to be sure, just my fast observation from past few attempts.
exteel.golem Feb 11, 2021 @ 7:51pm
While I have noticed that PER and CHA seem to get the lower possible score a little more often, it doesn't seem to be guaranteed and I know I've gotten a 3.0 to turn into a 4.8 for both of those stats. The standard 4 -> 6 and 5 -> 7 also seem to apply to them. When taking these numbers down I didn't discriminate or sort them by stat, just by values.

My number of data points is also probably around 50 or so at this point, so it's not a huge amount. If someone else starts recording these numbers and comes up with different results I'd definitely be interested.

Good to hear its actually just abd luck on my side then :D

Just to throw another confirmation/data point out there, I *just* got done casting Perceptive on a character with 4.00 PER. Without involving Soul Infection, her PER went from 4.00 to 6.00 on the first try.

From my tests, there are 2 possible outcomes. Bad or Good one depending on RNG. So save scumming work if you are not playing immortal.

That is normal. It increases base stat not your current stat. Tiger has base CHA stat of 1. Tiger talent is - 1 CHA stat. Shards does not count. So your tiger's base CHA stat is 0, even 1000% increase is still 0.
Normal Paradox Feb 12, 2021 @ 10:29am
Nice to know, thanks destiny. So yaoguai from frog are useless even with miracles, kind of sad.
destiny5554 Feb 12, 2021 @ 11:02am
Yes, based on frog's stat and talent, they are useless unless someone discover a cheese strat. However, its talent makes it the best defensive body cult. I remember not able to kill that frog elder for hours because it heals all the damages and wont die.
Normal Paradox Feb 12, 2021 @ 11:20am
What was the law used by that frog ?
destiny5554 Feb 12, 2021 @ 12:54pm
Didnt check, probably just the ancestral yaoguai law, it is just the high dodge, high def, plus high healing from frog.
