How do I get buckets of water?

Trying to smelt iron bars but apparently I need water. There's water on the map and I have a well already, do I need to craft buckets?

Wells and water vats. Of course, someone has to do "peon" work to carry water. If all are busy with other stuff, nothing is done.

Ahhh so they're probably just top busy then, got it. I have a well but no one was carrying it.

You can manually generate buckets by clicking on the well and putting in an order for disciples to draw buckets, but it's tedious.
