It's fine to have mediocre Gen 1 golden core at the start of your game due to lack of resources. After that it's normal to get millions+ Qi for Gen 2+. There's a reason why the game recommends Fire cultivator at the start, it is due to the availability of spiritwood for Qi gathering room...
Wood cultivator, it's winter on day 9-13 and having a rainstorm during the whole golden core forming stage.. Remember don't let them get disturbed( attacked or you "accidentally" click on send on adventure), they'll stop the core forming progress and you end up with a crap core.
No its not. Max Qi is much lower due to the progression in this law. Havent u noticed that they get a huge chunk of positive stats, qi and other boni at the reborn breakthrough (the first in each phase) and then at every breakthrough they get weaker and lose qi?
If you want to stick with them, then just accept that they nerf your gains quite a lot and you'll have to suffer weaker cultivators in order to make progress. Eventually it pays off, but you have to have the resources to make it.
Like Rogue said, don't worry about low tier golden cores so much. The important part is to make a Golden Core AT ALL to start, and building up from there. You can always use a rebirth pill and start over with that same Cultivator to get better results as you progress through the game. Eventually you can even reset their age.
This is also why I'm finding I like picking the Alchemy Law to start. It's a Fire law, making Qi rooms easy. The Alchemy Law isn't powerful anyways so your point isn't to make a god-like Cultivator, it's to make a supporting role that helps you build up other cultivators as you unlock new laws. I used a Physical Body Cultivator to get through challenges instead, since Primordial Body is one of the easiest laws to unlock at the start of the game, and Physical Body Cultivators don't benefit from items as much.
ok i get the idea.. i have to cope until later... i just got my first golden core (solid rank III) but i wanted my wood follower to ascend because shes also my alchemist... maybe i do this anyway and accept lower rank
