how do u form golden core with a wood disciple?
wood law will make u weak before changing the stage. This means especially that Qi and related stuff is weak right before forming the golden core. How is it still possible to get a decent golden core?

Just make a area very rich in QI and the right element, and give the disciple as many qi sense and qi absorb skills as possible. If you are lucky, you can make a decent grade 4-5 wood disciple as your first golden core. Once you have higher tier cultivators, wood gets a lot easier, because you can just give your disciples really good qi absorb talismans and it will boost what rank they can get significantly as long as you have a proper cultivation room for them.

Eh? It's the same for all the various elements. Eat max qi/stats pills, learn every Max QI, Qi sense related manuals even from other laws, learn/miracle up INT(MAX), CON(MAX), and other stats manuals that match the law, wear mental state gear after relaxing in leisure room to max, breakthrough in a specially designed Qi gathering room in a specific season and weather(naturally or miracle). If possible, max out your inner cauldron beforehand too.

It's fine to have mediocre Gen 1 golden core at the start of your game due to lack of resources. After that it's normal to get millions+ Qi for Gen 2+. There's a reason why the game recommends Fire cultivator at the start, it is due to the availability of spiritwood for Qi gathering room...

Wood cultivator, it's winter on day 9-13 and having a rainstorm during the whole golden core forming stage.. Remember don't let them get disturbed( attacked or you "accidentally" click on send on adventure), they'll stop the core forming progress and you end up with a crap core.

No its not. Max Qi is much lower due to the progression in this law. Havent u noticed that they get a huge chunk of positive stats, qi and other boni at the reborn breakthrough (the first in each phase) and then at every breakthrough they get weaker and lose qi?

Some laws do that and it's why you should avoid them as your focus for the early game. Don't pick them for the start and save them for later.

If you want to stick with them, then just accept that they nerf your gains quite a lot and you'll have to suffer weaker cultivators in order to make progress. Eventually it pays off, but you have to have the resources to make it.

Like Rogue said, don't worry about low tier golden cores so much. The important part is to make a Golden Core AT ALL to start, and building up from there. You can always use a rebirth pill and start over with that same Cultivator to get better results as you progress through the game. Eventually you can even reset their age.

This is also why I'm finding I like picking the Alchemy Law to start. It's a Fire law, making Qi rooms easy. The Alchemy Law isn't powerful anyways so your point isn't to make a god-like Cultivator, it's to make a supporting role that helps you build up other cultivators as you unlock new laws. I used a Physical Body Cultivator to get through challenges instead, since Primordial Body is one of the easiest laws to unlock at the start of the game, and Physical Body Cultivators don't benefit from items as much.

ok i get the idea.. i have to cope until later... i just got my first golden core (solid rank III) but i wanted my wood follower to ascend because shes also my alchemist... maybe i do this anyway and accept lower rank
Dayum, Well, a solid rank three should be able to start working towards helping the other one get a better rank.
It helps to teach them the qi-increase manuals from the other laws right before they do their golden core breakthrough, same goes for eating Earth Flux and such.

Got tier 1 golden core on my 1st cultivator who started with six paths reincarnation. Getting altar of magic helped, but breakthrough room wasn't optimised, weather wasn't right and I didn't use manual qi burst setup (was my 2nd run, didn't know about those). Keep in mind that right after 'reborn', six paths reincarnation overperforms compared to other laws. They'll be doing breakthrough after 'sinking', which makes them weaker but still not terribly so. Just eat the medicines, grab max qi skills and get a decent room.
