The flood dragon fight is beyond stupid...
I've tried to kill it 5x now. I haven't been able to, not because I can't (my Body Cult can solo it easy), but because my stupid outers keep dying. I toll the bell into the corner of the map, some of them die of starvation, while the others die to a mass amount of wolves/snakes that eventually go to them. If they fight back, the game puts them in combat and the stupid Flood Dragon kills them.

How the hell do I keep theses outers alive during this fight?

Also, the Flood Dragon is destroying my Spirit Soil. There's literally no way to fix it, so that's just spirit soil that is gone. Such a stupid ass fight...

it's just not worth fighting unless you can instantly kill it...It will destroy your whole sect with water puddles...

Kinda hard when he has 40 million Qi. Without the stuff he drops, my Body Cult is limited to only around 400k power. Not anywhere near enough to kill him quickly.

if you find it too hard, you can always get mod to get all character with full skill, that save a lot of time just to create a powerful random character and if you had restart to play the game multiple time you will want to save time just use mod to do that. there is mod that multiply any item in game which help save alot of time to gather all the stuff you need. And get the mod to recruit mod character instead of the random one which is pain in the ass.
Grandork, we discussed this a few days ago and there was a nice gamer who was kind enough to point me towards a very useful mod, with which I just removed the flood dragon altogether.

Just search for flood dragon and you ought to be able to find the thread I made. Hope that helps.

If I'm really worried about my outer disciples. I put all of them inside a mountain shaped shelter, which you build using the mountain shaping miracle, which impervious to damage. They have food, beds, and drinks inside, and can weather out the damage while all the rest of my fighters are duking it out with the dragon.

Also, where are the rest of your cultivators? You are talking about a single body cultivator soloing the dragon, but aren't you also using formations with the rest of your inner disciples?

Formations are pretty much the standard when fighting boss enemies and lets you kill them with pretty weak cultivators.

Also, the fox pet can restore spirit soil and the dragon pet can remove the cold from the ground. So nothing the dragon does is even permanent.

Anyway, fair enough if you want to cheat. Just saying the game has many mechanics that new players won't figure out if you just remove any difficulty the game throws at you.

Lol, you are seriously underestimating the strength of the Flood Dragon in Tribulation IX at day 200. My Inners just got splat by it in seconds. My Body Cult is the only one that can survive this fight. If it didn't keep summoning Wolves/Snakes, it wouldn't be that big of an issue.

Also, I'm using Dog at the moment. Still trying to get him to adult.
Saga Dec 31, 2020 @ 12:29pm
I haven't had trouble with Flood Dragon when inners are in a formation since damage is shared and you typically have a tank like your body cultivator aggroing most of the damage.

If you have more than 8+ inners. That damage will be divided and total over 1 million + qi of health + w/e regen in a formation. They shouldn't be going splat.

If you aren't using formations and sending them solo. Then yeah, they will go splat.
Saga Dec 31, 2020 @ 12:30pm
Course if, your inners are better, you can get by with less.

But tbh Tribulation IX is a bunch of shenanigans.

I can vouch for Grandork here. Tribulation IX is extremely hard.

Its like playing the game blindfolded and the blindfold is made of venomous snakes trying to bite your face off

what i did was i built a proper bunker, at least layers of marble blocks thick room and marble doors with proper heating and trigger the fight right after they finish their meal

once you kill the flood dragon, theres ways to fix the spirit soil

you can play it without mod of cause i did lost a few people and the cost is more time to retrain them which is why i use mod after that to save me time for not losing more time to train them back. Basically you need to have gather all the technique in game and make your sect as powerful as you can get, you can invite other sect keep on attack them and use skill to convert them into your sect and gather their technique, i mainly focus on raising attack skill, you can also just ask them to teach you their skill which involving asking around their whole sect and keep on talking until they willing to teach you their secret knowledge.
you need to raise your qi as high as possible so you need gather all those skill before the dragon attack you, so you must do it fast.

In Tribulation IX, Marble Walls have 9 HP. If the wolf farts in its general direction, it breaks. Also, the fight lasts days, there's no way a single meal will do ♥♥♥♥.

you need earth element weapon, this actually being told in the tutorial the boss fight and this is the 1st boss, you will find its more difficult to fight the whole sect.
