They stopped making food...?

For some reason, I cant get my outer deciples to make food. I have 500+ flour, and I have set everyone to prioritize being a chef, but they still will not make bread at the stove. I have a water vat in the same room, but they won't make the bread. What am I missing?

can you take some screenshots of the stove, work orders on your disciples, and of your base?

can be anything, but my guess without seeing. Is that something is either inaccessible or an ingredient is missing. Like it currently being set to cook meat, when you want it to cook flour.

Delete the work order, and re-enter it. Once in a while work orders seem to bug.

I'd also consider clearing out the priorities, and just set one guy to only firefight and chef. See if he does the work.

Screenshots take about 20 minutes for Steam to process.

Are you SURE your Kitchen is accessible? Are you sure the Ingredients are accessible?

Every now and again I'll forget to demolish a wall and find it is blocking work.

1. Press F12 when you're in the game
2. Go to Steam. Click "View > Screenshots"
3. Click on the Screenshot and post it online. Write a caption for it if you want (I always do)
4. Wait about 20 minutes.

Well not sure this will help, but one time while playing I couldn't get my outers to make flooring despite having the materials and disciples with free time to do it... So long story short I built a new crafting station and now everything works fine.

yeah every infinite work order that requires fuel or water ends up bugging out eventually, just set things to 10x or 50x repeat instead and you should avoid most those issues

This is completely false. They work absolutely fine, until you run out of material. An infinite work order is literally, "make this for eternity" and no further orders will ever be done even if you run out of enough material for a single craft.
