Elemental room set ups for cultivators
I'm trying to set up rooms for my cultivators and I'm not sure of the best builds.
My understanding is to never have the cultivator use the same element for their bed.

The best setup seems to be:
Iron bed, earth room and earth decorations.

Taking that into account for an Metal cultivator, does that mean you want to make an earth bed and set the rest of the room with igneo flooring and decorations? Then put some water elements on pedestals in a corner?

What would be the best bed/cushion/whatever focus and (floor, decoration, walls) for the following cultivator's elements?

Fire
Earth
Metal
Water
Wood

Look at the element wheel. The element that points to the element of the law (goes clockwise) is the ideal elemental to build stuff in the room.

I wouldn't bother, there is no point to setting up their bedroom for your inner's unless you don't have cultivation rooms set up for them already to use.

I just make a normal brown stone or marble room that's very auspisious and leave it at that.

agree, much better to have a cultivation room (or area, usually im set up under a giant tree on cushions surrounded by display stands). Trying to fit everything into each disciples bedroom is alot of extra time and materials making too many oversized rooms. Just keep bedrooms simple.

I like making bamboo beds, they are slightly better than most other bed types. Can even make it over shallow water. It does mean using icecrystal so make sure to balance the heat of the room.

3x3 brownstone rooms with iron beds, a brownstone oil lamp and a brownstone dressing table should get you "very Auspicious" and be good enough for outer disciples and most not-water inner ones, and just hand out talismans when it gets too hot or cold. Might upgrade the resources used to Marble once you've established to make them happier about the room's style, but in general "Metal Feng Shui building with Earth room and decorations" is the easiest way to get Very Auspicious for buildings that don't use fire or require a second building material, as those will at a "floor" element you have to deal with.

Having a room set up with the right elements for an inner disciple (which fyi is bed of their element, decorations of the begetting element; you can use spirit stone blocks which are neutral element, for walls and such if you want to make an aparment block/something you can switch in and out new disciples without tearing down the whole structure) isn't a bad idea, since even with assigned cushions they will sometimes still use their bed for cultivating, but when it comes to making a room perfect for breakthroughs and forming Golden Cores, it's usually better (and more aesthetically pleasing) to make special rooms for that kind of thing once you unlock qi mats since it will mean you only need one spot surrounded with displays and decorations for each element rather than each inner disciple's room be massive and/or look like a hoarder lives there to get best chances there.
