Food storage
From what i understand, in order to storage food, you need to have cold temperature.
To get that i need ice crystal ores but how exactly do i use them to make storage colder?

Make a room 5 tiles wide with icecrystal walls. Too big and it won't cool. Too small and might be too cold. Your guys have to work there after all.

I see, thank you both for informations. I will try making ice bars and put it on display inside first.
Dont want to make walls now considering its only temporary storage for now. Just starting out and dont want food to be spoiled.

Yeah that's the easiest way to do it. Krido. Ice Essence bars are better overall for it. In the long run as you require less. So you have more space for food. Had a room with negative 200 celsius from doing it that way with 4 bars.

Get a sould pearly from ancient casket and you dont have to worry it drops to over -100 depending how bit the room is. Also for heat in winter you can kill a monster (fey example ) with the mysterios cultivator at start if you choose the right map and get beast blood.

Oh forgot about winter preparation but im still in spring so its okay. Also my starting map has a lot of fire crystal ores and i mean A LOT so i guess, i can survive winter with reverse strategy for food storage.

For winter outdoors stuff only radiates 2 blocks of heat/ cold. Better bet is talismans or clothes.
